New City,  New State,  New Life!

I’d like to announce that I’ve moved from the Catskill Mountains in New York to South Windsor, Connecticut (a suburb of Hartford).

The question I’m asked most: Why?

1. It was time for me to come off the road and spend time with my children. I was missing too many birthdays and “firsts”. Besides, it is really nice not having someone else keep my schedule for me .

2. My wife had risen as far as she could go professionally. She needed to move to a larger company. Hartford had that company.

3. My wife and I looked at our lives and saw exactly where it was going for the next 30 years. And it was the same as the last 30 years. It was time for a shake up.

So that’s it in a nutshell. We needed some new scenery.

So what am I doing now?
First order of business is to establish the Cotton School of Drumming in South Windsor.  I’ve had a very successful teaching practice for over 17 years in NY and I look forward to bringing my passion to a  host of new students.

I’ve also formed POWER OF THE DRUM.   An organization that plans “rhythm events” (drum circles ) which I facilitate.   For more information go to www.powerofthedrum.com

I’m still performing with Charlotte Kendrick  and have recorded new albums, for Charlotte, Savoy Brown and Robert Charels which will be released this year.
Life is exciting and new.
