On Sunday, we headed northeast and inland, to Rydal and Boras to see the textile museums.

This was an actual spinning and weaving mill, and this is the original equipment. It still works.
|
|
|
There were many exhibits of looms through the different stages of development, from warp-weighted looms to 20th century
production looms, with an interesting display of various production looms. I finally figured out how a fly-shuttle works!

demonstrated. We were so fascinated, that we forgot to take pictures!
