Our Purpose: Daystar International Learning Associates, which has been in existence since 1987, is a nonprofit, public
benefit, educational corporation. We recognize the unlimited potential of every child and the great need for a universal educational
system that will facilitate the actualization of this potential in such a way that each child will not only be able to survive
in our complicated world, but will also be able to contribute to an ever-advancing civilization.
The philosophy of DILA is based on both principles of education as expressed in the Writings of the Baha'i Faith, and diverse
theories from other educational models which are compatible with the Baha'i Writings on education.
Who Benefits: Parents, Teachers, Children, Youth, and those interested in education.
Services: We share information on educational topics with the different organizations with which we network. Through such
networking, solutions to current educational problems should be forthcoming. We sincerely encourage the development of educational
projects, and will try to implement them to the best of our capacity.
We hold and sponsor conferences and workshops on topics of interest to those interested in education. We have a quarterly
newsletter. Some of the articles are listed below.
Personnel: We depend on volunteers to help with the office work, do our mailings and carry out our projects. A Board of
Directors handles the affairs of the organization and is supported by a developing Advisory Board.
