The following list contains ten items which provide links to sources of information concerning the interests of exceptional children and their families.

  1. daDa, located in Los Angeles, California, is a support group of fathers of children with special needs.
  2. KidPower is a support and informational site for families living with cerebral palsy and other disabilities.
  3. PACER Center is a nonprofit organization that serves families of children and adults with disabilities. PACER works through the coalition efforts of families representing 20 disability organizations in Minnesota. PACER has local, state, regional, and national projects.
  4. Parents Exchange is an information, referral, and advocacy services for parents of children with disabilities and professionals who work with our families.
  5. MATRIX is a parent-run information and resource center helping families in Marin, Napa, Solano and Sonoma counties. Matrix parents gain life-long skills and knowledge to help their children live, learn and participate fully in their communities. Matrix maintains a strong commitment to underserved populations. Bilingual and bicultural staff are available in all four counties to serve Latino families.
  6. Regional Resource and Federal Network is made up of the six Regional Resource Centers for Special Education (RRC) and the Federal Resource Center (FRC).
  7. Resources for Parents & Teachers of Blind Kids has a major wealth of information related to the Blind Community.
  8. Federation of Families for Children's Mental Health The National family-run organization helps children with mental health needs and their families achieve a better quality of life, provides leadership to develop and sustain a nationwide network of family-run organizations, helps policy-makers, agencies, and providers become more effective in delivering services and supports that foster healthy emotional development for all children
  9. Enabling Devices is dedicated to providing affordable assistive and learning devices for the physically challenged since 1976. Toys for Special Children (Children’s Catalog) focuses on the needs of children with disabilities. Products for Independent Living (Adult Catalog) focuses on the needs of the adult disabled population.
