Error 1. Adam and Eve were created on the 6th day,
and God taught them on the Sabbath. Then on the 8th day, the 1st day of the week, Satan deceived Eve.
Comment:
Jewish custom says
Adam and Eve were taught by God for 7 years. In the 8th year Satan deceived Adam and Eve. What parent in their right mind
would give birth, and after one day of instruction allow a predator to attack their child? God is no different!
Error 2. Sons
of God of Gen 6:2-4 are the offspring of Shem.
Comment:
In the old
testament the term Sons of God is never used for man, only for angels. The term Sons of God is never applied in the old testament to believers, as that is
a new testament distinction. The term Sons of God applies to all who are directly created by God.
Error 3. The
giants, Nephilim, of Gen 6:4, Num 13:33, are only tall people who were famous for their power and strength, and not the offspring
of angels fornicating with women.
Error 4. Lk 20:34-36, Mk 12:24, Mt 22:30, proves angels cannot have sex or marry women.
Comment:
These
verses are talking about the angels in heaven. They say nothing about the fallen angels on earth. Nor does it prove angels
are sexless. Are angels who appear as men, and eat food able to perform other bodily functions as well (Gen 18, Heb. 13:2)?
Error 5. Lk 20:34-36, Mt 22:30, proves angels are immortal, and cannot die or cease to exist.
Comment:
1. Lk 20:36, "Neither can they die any more: for they are equal unto
the angels", Luke does not say angels cannot cease to exist, only that the resurrected are like the angels, immortal. They
cannot die a physical death anymore. (die - Strong's #599 - to die off, lie a-dying)
2. Mt. 22:30, "in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but
are as the angels of God in heaven." Mathew does not say angels cannot cease to exist, only that the resurrected do not marry,
because procreation is not needed in heaven.
3.
To be immortal does not mean one cannot cease to exist.
Error
6. Binding and loosing of Mt 16:19, 18:15-20 has to do with doctrine, and how the church is run.
Comment:
Binding and loosing has nothing to do with doctrine,
or how the church is run, but everything to do with conflict resolution between church members.
1. Members in conflict are to resolve the
problem among themselves (Mt. 18:15).
2. If that does not work, two or three
witness are brought in to settle the conflict (Mt. 18:16).
3. If that did not work, the church elders are
to resolve the conflict (Mt. 18:17, Act 15), or brethren could be appointed to oversee the resolution of the matter (ICor.
6:5).
4. No apostle, or minister could loose
what God had already bound, or bind what God had already loosed (Mt. 16:19).
"I (Jesus) will give you (Peter and the
other apostles Mt. 16:18, 18:1,18) the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind (declare to be
improper and unlawful) on earth must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declair lawful) on earth
must be what is already loosed in heaven:" (Mt. 16:19 Amplified Bible)
Error
7. Mt. 18:20 ("whenever two or three of you come together in my name, I am there with you") has to do with Sabbath
services.
Comment:
Matthew
18:20 has to do with sorting out conflicts between church members. It has nothing to do with the gathering of brethren for
a Sabbath, or for a bible study. See error 6 above.
Error
8. Rev 9:1-2, 20:1-2, is symbolism, there are no angels imprisoned in the bottomless pit as of today (1Pet. 3:18-20).
Question:
1. Why did an angel
need to unlock the bottomless pit (Rev. 9:1-2), to place Satan into the pit (Rev. 20:1-3)?
2.
Why did the demon ask Jesus not to send him into the bottomless pit (Lk 8:31)?
Error
9. Jude 13 proves Satan and his angels will be cast into the outer darkness of space for all eternity.
Comment:
Jude
12-13 is describing certain individuals who wander about as empty clouds (lacking life giving water or God's spirit), raging
waves (angry rebellious people), and wandering stars (looking like lights of righteousness), who are reserved for the blackest
of darkness (the second death) forever.
Error
10. The resurrection occurs on Trumpets.
Comment: Lev. 23:10-20 & Ex 19:14-19
1. The two wave loaves picture the firstfruits of God's human creation (Lev 23:17, James 1:18, Rev. 14:4).
2.
The high priest shall wave the firstfruits before God, to be accepted by Him (Lev 23:20).
3.
Jesus Christ is our high priest who will wave the firstfruits of God's human creation before God the Father (Heb 3:1, 4:14),
after the saints are resurrected, and rise to meet Jesus in the air (1Thes. 4:16, 1Cor. 15:52).
4.
God left us an example, a type of Pentecost, with Moses as a type of Christ (Ex. 19:14-19).
Error
11. Rev. 20:11-15, proves three resurrections.
Comment:
Scripture
only shows a minimum of two resurrections. A resurrection to life or a resurrection to death. There could be many more resurrections,
but there are only a minimum of two mentioned in scripture.
Error
12. The marriage supper of the Lamb will take place on earth.
Comment: Jude 24, Rev 15:8
Study
the Jewish wedding ceremony of Jesus's day, and you will see it takes place in heaven. Jesus himself compared his wedding
to the Jewish wedding ceremony of his time.
Error
13. All Israel, and all gentiles will receive God's spirit during the 1,000 year reign of Christ.
Comment:
Nowhere
in the bible does it say the gentiles as a whole will receive God's spirit, during the reign of Christ. Only the knowledge
of God will be given the gentiles, except those individuals God decides to call during that time.
Error
14. Ruth was a Moabite, from the land of Moab.
Comment:
Ruth
was an Israelit from the land of Moab, but not of the race of Moab. Israel conquered the land of Moab east of the Jordan river,
and north of the Arnon river (Num. 21:26-31, Deut. 3:3,8). No racial Moabites were left in the land (Deut. 2:31-34, 3:12-16,
Josh. 13:21-25, 26-27, 32). The land was now inhabited by the tribes of Reuben and Gad (Deut. 29:7-8). Are the people living
in Miami Florida, in the United states of America, Miami Indians?
Error
15. Lucifer was created by the Word, Jesus Christ.
Question:
1. Why did Jesus need to qualify to replace Lucifer, instead of removing him from office, if Jesus was
Lucifer's creator?
2.
The two Cherubs and the mercy seat were molded out of one solid piece of gold. Wasn't it to show that the two Cherubs were
made from the same essence as God (Ex. 25:18-22, 37:7-8)?
3.
God calls Jesus and Lucifer morning stars (Isa 14:12, Job 38:4-7, 2Pet, 1:14, Rev. 22:16).
4.
Barabbas and Jesus were called by the same name. Barabbas means son of the father, and Jesus was called the Son Of The Father.
Barabbas, the son of the father, represented Satan, the azazel goat (Lev. 6:8-10), and sin. Jesus, the Son of The Father (Mk
15:7-15), represented the righteousness goat, and became the sacrifice for sin (Lev. 16:7-10).
5.
Therefor #1 + #2 + #3 + #4 = Lucifer is the Son of God the Father, and was created by
God the Father.
Error
16. Hebrew 7:1-3, John 1:1-2 proves Jesus always existed.
Comment:
1. The father/mother relationship, and the beginning of days, did not occur until after the earth was
created.
2.
All things does not include Jesus himself or God the Father.
3.
All things means: everything that was created from the time the word (Jesus ) began creating, but does not include all things
God had already created.
4.
See number 15 above.
Error
17. God has a 7,100 year plan for mankind.
Question:
1. God says one day is as a thousand years and a thousand years as one day (2Pet, 3:8). So, why has God
switched from thousands to hundreds?
2. In the 1000 year reign of Christ will
you live to be 1000 years old? Because one dies at the age of 100 (Isa. 65:20), does that mean the time allotted to mankind
is only 100 years in length?
Error 18. We have the exact same
calendar that Jesus used.
Note:
1. There is no scriptural proof
for the use of postponements.
2. There is no solid scriptural
proof to show us which moon (full moon or crescent moon) we should use to
begin a month.
Error 19. There were only two crucified with Christ.
Comment:
Why the inconsistency between Matthew's gospel account, (Mt. 27:38, 44) and Luke's gospel account
(Lk. 23:39-42)? Why did the soldiers break the legs of the first, then bypass Jesus and break the legs of the other, then
come back to Jesus?
Note:
1. Two other, criminals,
malefactors, were led with Jesus to be crucified (Lk. 23:32). "Other"(Greek heteros
meaning different). Meaning these two criminals were a different group besides
any others that were crucified with Jesus.
2. Jesus was crucified. Then the two robbers, thieves, were
crucified (Mt. 27:35-38). Both robbers mocked Jesus, and were crucified one on
Jesus' left and one on his right. (Mk. 15:24-27)
3. One criminal mocked Jesus and one of the criminals defended Jesus
(Lk. 23:39-42). Both robbers mocked Jesus. If they are all the same people then
there is a problem with scripture.
4. John says: They crucified Jesus, and they crucified two "other"
with Jesus. "other"(Greek allos meaning the second of two when there are more)
"two on this side and on that side" meaning: one group on one side of Jesus and
the second group on the other side of Jesus.
5. The word one is not found in the original scriptures (Joh
19:18).
Error 20. Herbert W. Armstrong corrected all church error before he
died, binding the church to all his teachings.
Queston:
Can
an apostle, prophet, minister, or anyone bind the church to an error or a half truth?
