Obituary in the Tacoma News Tribune: Bruce Franklin Perry was born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, but made his home in Cincinnati, Ohio for the last 14 years. Born March 20, 1961, he died August 3, 1999 near Bellingham, Washington while climbing in the mountains he loved. Bruce attended Browns Point Elementary School, Meeker Junior High School, and Stadium High School where he was President of the Class of 1979. He attended Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in 1985 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He was employed by Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati for 14 years, most recently as Manager of Product Development in the Paper Division. Bruce is survived by his wife, Lisa Ann Laurenzo Perry, and three sons, Andrew - 7, Scott - 4, and Eric -1, of Cincinnati, his parents, Glenn and Janice Perry, of Tacoma, his brother, David, of Seattle, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends. Bruce will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bruce had a deep love for the Pacific Northwest and had hopes of returning to that part of the country someday. He had a particular fondness for the mountains and water and was an avid hiker and photographer. Bruce was President of his High School Class of 1979 and attended Washington University in St. Louis, graduating in 1985 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. He had a great love of reading and a natural curiosity to learn. He was employed by Procter & Gamble Company in Cincinnati for 14 years, most recently as Manager of Research and Development in the Baby Care Division. He held numerous patents in the paper technology, adult incontinence and baby care divisions. Bruce was extremely well thought of and respected throughout the company and the world. His gentle and kind approach touched all the individuals with whom he worked. Bruce was a very loving husband and father. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, optimism and selfless nature. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Laurenzo Perry, and three sons, Andrew - 7, Scott - 4, and Eric -1,of Cincinnati, his parents, Glenn and Janice Perry, of Tacoma Washington, his brother, David, of Seattle Washington, and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family and friends. Bruce will be greatly missed by all who knew him. |
