Careers

Our carreers are one aspect of our lives which bring many of us together.  Our participation as active IEEE volunteeers in the areas of career and life-long employability issues is an important task.  Political activisim is required when legislation effecting engineering careers and life-long employability is brought before our state and congressional legislators.  We can only be heard when we participate in legislative activities as a group.  Help us help you by joining us in political activisim in support of engineering careers and life-long employability.

IEEE-USAB Career's Phase II Facilitor Trainer

David served IEEE-USAB as the The Careers Phase II workshop facilitator trainer from 1991 through 1996.  The Careers Phase II workshop is a locally facilitated program using a prerecorded video tape series designed to help engineers address mid career issues and discessions.  The program was delivered directly to members using local section and chapter PACE leaders as facilitators.  The facilitators were trtained to use the video tape series to host local Careers Phase II workshops.  Many of these workshops were held around the country during the early 1990's in areas where engineers had been laid off and were faced with mid-career changes.

Member Professional Activities Conference Coordinator

He also served as the national coordinator for the IEEE-USA Member Professional Awareness Conferences (MPACs).  Member Professional Awarness Conference format is designed to allow sections and chapters to design a conference to meet the professional and continuing educational needs of the local section and chapter memebers.  Numerous MPACs have been held throughout the United States.
