How do you tell if it is going to rain while in Alaska? Here are some sure signs that we were taught by Alaskan natives:1) The sun comes up2) The sun goes down
3) It's overcast
4) It's temporarily clear overhead
In my experience, all of these signs did seem to point to rain as we had precipitation every single day of the cruise (though sometimes for only very brief periods). For the most part, we just went right ahead with whatever we were planning to do (just like the Alaskan natives).
