In order to create true bronze reliefs such as these, entire compositions with all their fine minute details, involves much
more than producing your typical bronze piece. The first step is to recreate David's complex designs in clay. In order to find someone capable of assisting him with this difficult and intricate work, David traveled to Atlanta, GA to enlist the
assistance of artist/educator, Judy Kessler.
Once the clay piece is completed, a plaster mold is created. Then, a wax impression is made from the plaster. Next, at the foundry, an investment (similar to a mold) is built around the wax. The wax
is then burned out, and the remaining hole is filled with bronze. Although creating bronze art pieces of David's work involves very time consuming and expensive measures, the stunning magnificence of the final results makes the process all
worthwhile!

It is extremely rare to find bronze works of art that encompass the detail and complexity which these pieces do. While maintaining the
integrity of the designs on which they were based, these bronze relief pieces stand proudly on their own in the unique way in which they represent a new and beautiful perspective to popularly acclaimed works of art. Their visual richness, combined with
the dimensions and feel of these pieces, all contribute to their stunning beauty. |
