"The colors in David's work provide a layering of spectral brilliance which makes each of his works appear full and illuminated.... Viewers of his work can not help but feel the passion which inspires David in his work."

Bruce David has designed many unique and beautiful stained glass windows for both synagogues and homes. In many of these moving designs, which have drawn rave reviews from art professionals, David has incorporated Dichroic (colored glass that changes color) and bevelled glass to create a special mood and feeling. Additionally, extensive hand painting, etching and sandblasting of the different pieces of glass enhance the final image as well. As with his other compositions, David weaves unique and hidden symbolism throughout each window.
COVENANTS - DOR L' DOR - Stained Glass Windows
These three stained glass windows were designed to share the importance of the relationship between God, the Jewish people and all life. The value of this connection can be best appreciated through a better understanding of the covenants depicted within these designs. Touching on the past, the present and the future, these covenants set forth the path to the fulfillment of our destiny as they are seen being passed from generation to generation.

"Reflections of the Soul"
Designed to illuminate the essence of many of Judaism's foremost qualities, this stained glass window touches on the stirrings and innermost longings of souls seeking spiritual enlightenment. It reflects the belief that achieving the desired time of peace is based on the just actions, love and respect shown by individuals in their interaction with life in this world.

The handles of a hidden Torah scroll may be found in each corner of the design. The lower handles are being held up by leaf-hands. This symbolism, along with the top Hebrew quote, depicts the Torah as "a tree of life."
NEW ! "L'Chayim Celebration"
This set of three 6.5’ tall stained glass windows celebrate the Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year's) festival.
This composition is meant to celebrate both the beauty and importance of the Rosh Hashanah festival, as well as the spirit of this holy day, a valuable reminder of our constant need to be thankful, and enjoy the wonders and miracles we experience daily.
Starting in the middle of the right panel, before swirling into the center panel and then back into the right pane, a large shofar twists its way around once more before culminating in the lower center section of the design. Here, in this same area, a unique interpretation of multidimensional symbolism may be found.

*** The base of this large shofar is additionally depicted as a hand holding up a wine cup. Kiddush, saying the blessing over a glass of wine, is an important element of all the Jewish festivals.
"Heavenly Blessings" portrays three of God's special blessings, Love, Life and Peace.
This window, designed for the home, include the words:
love, in English, and a Hebrew chai, for life,
and a shalom,for peace.

"New Light Shining"
These are the four centerpiece windows of a series of fourteen stained glass windows David created for a new circular chapel in Hamden, Connecticut.
The unique skyline was created by fusing up to ten-twelve layers of glass together, one on top of the other.
The design is based on the "Or Chadash" (Let a new light shine) prayer and is a reflection of our vision for peace, for Jerusalem and the world.
For further description of the stories and symbolism contained within any of these windows, see the lithograph by the same name, or contact the David Gallery.
