"FIRST LIGHT OF CREATION"

This lithograph is considered by many art professionals to be David's best art piece. It was created as a mizrach, a piece designed to inspire and assist people in their prayers and spiritual growth. It is based on the original explosion of light, the "big bang," so to speak. In the upper and lower part of the picture is the Barchu prayer and its response. In the center of the picture, overlayed on the creation sequence, is the "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts" prayer. Written in both English and Hebrew calligraphy, this prayer is seen swirling out in opposite directions. 18"x 24.75"

This is a unity picture combining the hopes and aspirations of all who long for an Israel at peace. Its main quote comes from Theodor Herzl, "If you will it, it is not a dream...." The portraits of Herzl, on the left, and Elijah, on the right, signify the secular and the religious. The forms of the people between them, praying at the Western Wall, with the Hebrew shalom woven into their bodies, represent the shared goal of peace for Israel. 23.5"x 19"

This picture's main quote is, "For Zion's sake I will not be silent." The second part of this quote is overlayed on the depiction of the hills of Jerusalem. Additionally, the picture contains the Ki Mitzion prayer in Hebrew and English.
