"City of Peace," Bruce has recently completed a large original hand pulled serigraph entitled "Jerusalem, City of Peace." This high quality print took 19 months to complete and includes a "Certificate of Authenticity" along with an explanatory script.

This composition portrays Jerusalem during the ultimate time of peace. The unity and harmony of life at this time is depicted both
inside and outside the walls of the city. Within the city, ritual objects and traditional accompaniments to Judaism may be found woven into the design. |

In the forefront of the city, contained within the golden bricks of the buildings, a large English “shalom” may be found. A second
large “shalom” (also in gold) is located in the sidewalk just beneath the buildings. Other representations of the word “peace” (in English, “peace” and “shalom,” or in the Hebrew, ) may be found hidden in multitudes of places within the picture: in the
birds in the sunset over the city, in the trees on either side of the drawing, in the walls surrounding and within the city, and in the plants, grass, people and animals throughout the composition. |

Representations of the ritual objects and traditional accompaniments to Judaism that help compose the city are: the Torah Scrolls,
the tablets of the Ten Commandments, a mezuzah, menorah, tefillin, kiddush (wine) cup, Shabbat candles, Havdalah candle and spice box, a shofar (ram’s horn), and the Hebrew word for chai ( life).
Throughout the composition, many people are seen
joined together celebrating the unity and harmony of all life at this time. May we, and all our loved ones, soon come to enjoy and share in this, our Creator’s ultimate vision of fulfillment; a time of joy, wholeness and peace! |

"TORAH LEGACY "

In the composition, the individual is seen holding up the Torah in front of a flaming tree of life. The Torah is
also referred to as a "tree of life" in the Etz Chaim quote at the top and bottom of the piece. Behind this are the tablets of the Ten Commandments with the large Hebrew letters symbolic of each commandment. The Torah scrolls in the
background contain the prayer of thanks for the special gift of Torah. 19"x 23.5"

This picture is based on the biblical tale of the prophet Balaam and his talking donkey (Numbers 22).

| SPECIAL NOTE: An original hand pulled serigraph is among the highest quality art print available. Unlike most
lithographs, commercial serigraphs, Iris type prints and other mechanically made reproductions that use plates, film and digital imaging to produce their images, with an original hand pulled serigraph each color requires an individual screen. These
screens are each hand drawn and hand cut. The print maker then applies the ink to the paper one color at a time. This requires time for the ink to dry before the next color is applied. When completed, this delicate and time consuming process creates
a visual feast for the true art connoisseur. |
