Kindergarten children select one book and first and second graders may choose two. The book selection day for kindergarten is highlighted in red. Third and fourth graders may choose four , and may request additional materials if they have a specific need.  Magazines  are available for circulation beginning  at the end of second grade.  While children are directed to books appropriate for their age/interest/reading level,  they  may also select materials which contain picture content, etc.  which appeals to them. Parents are encouraged to continue reading to their children at all ages.
