My History I have extensive music live performance and sound reinforcement experience since High School. I am a keyboardist that has primarily done country, blues, rock, MOR, and Christian music gigs, touring, and recordings. My Keyboard Rig Yamaha Motif XS8, PC-88MX Master Controller, Kurweil K-2000 with 2 gig HD and CDROM, Allen & Health GL-2 Mixer, Klark-Teknik graphic, QSC-PLX, 2 EAW-FR 3way boxes, (PV powered horn & 15 for small gigs) and Motion Sound Leslie. Extensive performance experience in Pro-Tools studios. My Experience The New Horizons, Muscatine, IA: Keyboards & bass, 1983-1988. Series, Muscatine, IA: Keyboards, 1983-1984. The Lucky Ones, Washington, IA: Keyboards, 1985 on and off to the present - Extensive road touring circuit experience. Dale Thomas Orchestra, West Branch, IA: Bass, 1987. Ernie Peniston Band, Muscatine, IA: Keyboards, 1988-1990. Performed along with Sawyer Brown, Joan Jett, Lonnie Brooks, and numerous other national Blues Acts. Ernie has toured with Prince as a back-up singer and was the lead singer on the last world tour with the Chicago Rhythm and Blues Kings. Voted into the Iowa Blues Hall of Fame. New Power Soul, Iowa City, IA: Keyboards 1989-1990. Local Music Director and recording work with the local and State Miss Iowa and Miss Indiana pageants. 1986-1990 The Blue Band, Cedar Falls, IA: Keyboards, 1996. Stampede, Cedar Rapids/Muscatine, IA: Keyboards, 1996-2003 - Performed along with Sawyer Brown, Brooks and Dunn, Buffalo Club (Restless Heart), Dixie Chicks, Neil McCoy, and other major acts, plus headlined own shows up to 100,000 people. Touring and extensive casino show experience. Serious Attitude, Story City, IA: Keyboards and bass, 1997-1999. Broken Bow, Ames, IA: Keyboards 2000. Unforgiven, DesMoines, IA: Keyboards 1999-2000. Posse, Davenport, IA 2001-2002. Billiondollar Blues Band, Iowa City, IA 2001. Lucky Ones 2001 - 2005. yes again! Deliverance - 2001 - 2006. River City Six Jazz Band- keyboard sub. Jake McVey and the Unknown Highway Band 2005-2006. Jake is currently on his first CD tour of the US. |
Schedule I will be starting with a group called "Mister Sister" on April 26th at Red Rocks in Morton.
