Fence Knob Insulator Collection

Here is my collection of porcelain electric fence insulators, nail-knobs, house insulators, spools and other similar looking insulators. The gray one on the very top-left came from a civil war era dig site. It is very crude and has a couple nasty chips. The brown one on the top is from England. The aqua glass one in the middle of the third row down is a lightning rod insulator. The other glass (bluish) is similar to and the right size for a CD 1080 spool but has a smooth flat base, instead of being plunged. The top also appears a little different. The little triple grooved black insulator on the "F" row is made from bakelite, composition or some kind of cheap plastic.

I have extra small porcelain insulators with the single and triple groove of various markings. The RED text markings in the list below the picture means I have duplicates of these styles available for trades or sale. If you have any small porcelain, glass, or any other insulators similar to the ones displayed, but with different shape, size, markings, colors, shoot me an email. We can work out a trade or something beneficial to both of us: davfoun10@earthlink.net

I bought this old drawer at a flea market for 5-10 bucks. I had to take out a couple of the dividers for the bigger insulators to fit. Makes a nice little display shelf when screwed to the wall. The insulators on the two bottom rows in the grey area are new arrivals that I just "pasted" onto the bottom of the original picture.
