Business : Many companies have made use of my writing abilities when the need arose to write grants, reports, proposals, sensitive letters, and position papers. I was always glad to help. And much of my efforts in this regard achieved the intended objective, which very often entailed substantial sums of money for my clients.From team members at Walt Disney I formed a team of writers and artists that became Writecom, a technical and marketing writing firm that operated out of Glendale, California. During this time I met with Carlos J. Moorhead, a member of Congress, and played a role in simplifying writing in the military, receiving a personal letter of thanks from the Reagan White House. Because of a new concept for a communications company that I developed over many years (100-page business plan) I found myself meeting weekly with the executives of many venture capital firms, including Dominick & Dominick out of New York. They responded enthusiastically to my need for substantial financing. However, a long illness resulting in the premature death of my wife ended this venture. |
