HomerCon 2009

I was there the night Bobby Lee was killed.

HomerCon 2009 has wrapped up. John Kisner has already posted some pictures. The two dozen or so participants came from at least two continents this year. Games played included Line of Battle Gettysburg and Antietam (both in development), Beyond the Rhine and a France `40 game (both OCS games in development), Battalion Combat Series games (in design/development) including the testbed generic game and a title on Velikiye Luki, a Zombie game, a D-Day title from Decision Games, Bastogne and Rock of the Marne (both SCS), In their Quiet Fields II, a western front WW2 game called (I think) Roads of Victory, OCS Korea, and of course the chariot race/demolition derby that is Circus Minimus.

HomerCon History

Mike Galandiuk has posted some pictures from HomerCon 2007 in the MMP company support topic on the Consimworld discussion board.

See John Kisner's photo galleries from HomerCon 2005 and 2004, including the world's biggest OCS map. Mr. Kisner's HomerCon 2006 pix include some good views of Case Blue and the proposed OCS games Baltic Gap and France 1940. His photos from HomerCon 2007 feature current and forthcoming games.

Perry Andrus has a HomerCon 2002 pictorial retrospective, and John Kisner has offered some remarks about HomerCon 2003 on Consimworld. In 2004, Enemy at the Gates was played with the then-newest edition of the Operational Combat Series (PDF) rules, along with a combined Guderian's Blitzkrieg/Enemy at the Gates/Case Blue. If you want to see the current OCS rules as of November 2008, see this PDF.
