Additional Involvement Opportunities
- Several times a year our club participates in a variety of Community Service Events. Past events include painting of murals at the Placentia Library and Women's Shelter, rummage sale to raise money for charity, adopt-a-family during the holidays, etc. All members are welcome to participate in these rewarding and worthwhile activities. Details for upcoming events will be listed in the newsletter.
- The Babysitting Co-op is a group of our moms that trade hours of baby-sitting with each other by use of tickets rather than money. Upon joining, you will receive approximately 10 hours of baby-sitting in tickets to use whenever you need to. Any member is welcome to join. The Babysitting Co-op is available on member demand.
- The Cooking Co-op is a program that helps our members when they are in need of relief, by providing home-made or purchased dinners. Most often utilized when one of our members has a baby, but also for many other situations when one of our members needs a helping hand. The success of this program relies on all of our members volunteering to provide a dinner for a member when needed. If you are contacted by the Cooking Co-op Volunteer, please consider participating and helping another member out. They sure will appreciate it!
- Throughout the year, all members have the opportunity to participate in the Secret Pals program. This is a fun way to get to know another club member by surprising them with treats. The emphasis is always on fun and not expense. If you would like to participate, contact the Secret Pal Volunteer, and look in the newsletters for further information.
- In order to help our new members get familiarized with our club, we have a Big Sister/Little Sister Program. This program pairs a new member with a current member who can help them by answering any questions they may have about the club, introducing them to other members, meeting them at activities, etc. If you have any questions about this program, please contact the Membership Vice President.
