Still reeling from the events of the Tri-Wizard Tournament and Fudge's denial, he headed for the library to get a book to read to try and take his mind off of Voldemort returning. He spotted a blonde haired girl reading a book on ancient runes. "Sorry. I didn't mean to disturb you," Harry said. The girl looked up with strange dreamy eyes and cocked her head. "Something happened?" "Voldemort is back," Harry said. "He used my blood in a ritual to come back." "He won't move just yet. He wants to get something from the Department of Mysteries before he makes a move," the girl said. "How do you know that?" "I just do. I forgot my manners for a second. My name is Luna Lovegood." "Harry Potter." "It must be lonely to be you," Luna said. "You are expected to sacrifice yourself to save everyone but aren't allowed to have happiness. That way, your life isn't worth much compared to the others." Harry blinked a bit, as Luna didn't give him the stare at the scar and just kept reading her book. "Er. What?" Luna looked at Harry and made a vague gesture with her hand. "You wear clothes that are too large for you when you wear Muggle clothing." Shaking her head she continued speaking. "Dumbledore must be frightened of the power the Dark Lord knows not to not train you properly to defeat the Dark Lord." "Huh?" Harry asked, blinking his eyes. "You can speak to snakes. I can talk to frogs. Frogs are constantly making prophecies. There were others who knew the languages of frogs and kept them as familiars so they would know what the future would have in store. That is why frogs and toads are acceptable pets, although everyone has forgot the reasons why. I have never bothered to take Divination, since the teacher has only had two true prophecies to her name," Luna said in her dreamy tone. "There is a prophecy that Professor Trelawney made that says that you and the Dark Lord will fight and only one will walk away. It also states that you will have a power he does not know." "Er. I thought Parseltounge was the only magical language," Harry muttered, as he thought about what Luna had just revealed. "Oh no. Even in Muggle fairy tales, there are stories of other languages. How did that one story go? There was a boy who learned the languages of mice, birds, and frogs. Since he knew the languages of mice, he was able to give a fortune of gold to his adopted father. The languages of frogs allowed him to know that the pope had died and then he laughed when they said he would be the next pope. The languages of birds helped him out when two doves landed on his shoulders and the various priests made him the pope. The doves kept giving him advice during his long term as pope." "I didn't know that," Harry muttered. "Why didn't Dumbledore teach me, if he knew the prophecy?" "As I said, he's afraid. A power the Dark Lord knows not? Dumbledore will try and convince you it is love, since the Dark Lord disdains attachments. However, the Dark Lord has studied Dumbledore and knows what his strengths and weaknesses are. He also knows what his beliefs are. No, it is going to be something that neither of them know." Harry wrote down his address on a piece of parchment and slid it over to Luna. Luna picked it up and read it. She looked back at Harry with a question on her face. "I need to talk to someone about all this and about the death of Cedric. Ron is a bit rash and Hermione always worries," Harry said. "And you don't want Dumbledore to know," Luna softly said with a nod. "It looks like I will also learn the power the Dark Lord knows not. I wonder what it is. I will see you during the holiday. I don't think we should see each other until then. Either you or I should leave and not think about this. With Professor Snape missing for right now, your mind should be secure for the moment. I will bring books with me, so that you can study other things beyond what you have taken. I have the feeling we will have the time." Harry nodded for a moment and then shook his head. "I need to study to find some way to fight Voldemort. He's going to be coming after me again, since I managed to get away from him once more." "You can owl order books and charge it to your Gringott's account," Luna said. Harry pulled out the key to his trust account and looked at it. "I would wait and see what happens before we come back from summer holiday before doing that," Luna said and stood up. "I will see you later. Until then..." Luna left the library and nodded at Madam Pince, who had just returned from leaving the library. Harry put his key back into his pocket and frowned, as he thought about Luna's words. "Strange girl," Harry muttered. "I need to get my mind off things." Harry hunted through the non-restricted section of the library for combat spells and transfiguration. He headed over to Madam Pince and took a deep breath. "Madame Pince? Am I able to check books out over the summer?" Harry asked with his voice barely above a whisper. "No. You can copy the book with a spell and the copy will vanish a week before you return to Hogwarts," Pince said, as she glared at Harry. "If you want a restricted book, you have to get a professor to do it for you. I'd rather you hooligans would just copy the books and leave my originals alone." "Er. What's the spell to do it?" Harry asked. Madame Pince pulled out a small book and tapped it with her wand. "Libris duplico." The book doubled and Pince handed Harry the copy. "That book won't vanish like the others. It details the spell that I just used. The wards on the other books prevent them from being copied for more than their allotted time. Also, you can't use it on books that you can find at Floruish and Blotts or anywhere else for that matter, since there are wards on those books as well. Other than that book and a very few others, it is only really useful for copying Muggle books permanently and creating temporary copies of library books." "Thank you." "Just don't damage the books while you do so," Pince said bluntly. Harry nodded and duplicated books in the higher levels of classes he was already taking and the entire group of books for Arthimacy and Ancient Runes. He quickly threw himself into reading and did his best to shut out Hermione and Ron. They thought he was still feeling the aftershocks of seeing Cedric killed and decided to give him some space. Soon, the school year ended and Harry boarded the train to be picked up by the Dursleys. After he arrived back at Number Four Privet Drive, he thought about Luna Lovegood but held off on writing a letter to her. He wrote letters to Ron and Hermione to try and get information, but he recieved no reply. Over the next couple of weeks, he felt frustrated at that. After doing some chores, he had to dodge Dudley and his gang before they saw him. "I really don't need to deal with Dudley and his merry band of gits," Harry thought. Harry walked a bit and blinked as he saw two people walking towards him. He didn't recognize the man, but the girl was familiar for some reason. When she got closer, Harry stared in disbelief. "Luna? Is that you?" "Hello Harry. It's nice seeing you again," Luna said. Harry blinked in shock. Luna was wearing blue jogging shorts and a light blue shirt. The way she was dressed and had her hair made Luna very attractive. "Daddy has all my books shrunk and ready. According to the frogs we are to meet a person who has been where no human has ever been before," Luna said. "It sounds more interesting than hunting for a Crumple-Horned Snorkack." "Mister Lovegood? Did you know your daughter could talk to frogs?" Harry asked, ignoring the tail end of the conversation. Mr. Lovegood snorted. "Yes. I can as well. It drove her mother nuts when we talked in frog before she died." "I'm sorry for your loss," Harry muttered. "Thank you. We were going to go hunting for other creatures when she mentioned this problem of yours." Harry cocked his head to one side. "I have never heard of a Crumple-Horned Snorkack before." "Most haven't. Then again, our family is usually disregarded for coming up with imaginary creatures. My great-grandfather was the one to discover Moon Calves," Xenophilius Lovegood replied. "I have never heard that about your family," Harry said. "The Ministry doesn't want to give credit or respect to our family," Mister Lovegood said. Changing subjects, Harry asked, "Aren't you afraid that you and Luna will be at risk if Voldemort finds out you are talking with me?" Mister Lovegood shuddered at the name and he gave a deep sigh. "After my wife died, I am afraid to lose Luna. The Ministry hasn't said anything about him being back." Harry launched into an explanation of what happened during the final task of the Tri-Wizard tournament that ended up with Cedric Diggory dead. At the end of it, Mister Lovegood shuddered at the fact that Harry had faced almost all of the Death Eaters and Voldemort himself. "I thank you for telling me that. I will have to make some preparations. The Quibbler might not be respected but it will print the truth about this. Anything else you want to talk about?" For some reason, Harry felt that he could trust Mister Lovegood as long as it didn't endanger Luna. He gave a brief summary about his years in Hogwarts and the truth behind Sirius Black's innocence. "Stubby Boardman?" Luna asked. Mister Lovegood waved that aside, as he thought about Harry's situation. "We need to get your stuff and get you elsewhere. If it is a Blood Ward, then all You-know-who has to do is walk up to the front door and kill you. Blood Wards can't tell the difference between family and blood of the enemy forcibly taken," Mister Lovegood said. "If you can't call him Voldemort, call him Tom Marvolo Riddle. That is his name after all," Harry said in amusement. "I didn't know that. How did you know?" Mister Lovegood asked. Harry explained about the Chamber of Secrets and the diary that had possessed Ginny and the fact that the young Tom Riddle made an anagram of his name to create 'I am Lord Voldemort'. "Daddy, I think we should do a piece on Mister Riddle. It might help everyone if they have something else to call him," Luna said. "You might be right. I can say Tom Riddle without fear," Mister Lovegood said, as the three of them headed towards where Harry was staying. "He also isn't a pureblood. He's a half-blood. His father was Muggle and his mother was a squib," Harry stated with some amusement. "I'm actually surprised Dumbledore didn't ban you from contacting me." "Why would he have the authority to do that? He's only the head of the Wizengamot. He's not of the royal family," Mister Lovegood asked in confusion. "He keeps sending me back here, even though I don't want to be here," Harry said. "It's a long story. He's the one who placed me here. He had Hagrid take me away from Sirius Black to bring me here. Sirius is my godfather and should have been the one to take care of me. He keeps saying Blood Ward protection is what keeps me safe." "Which is now worthless since Riddle took your blood to bring himself back," Mister Lovegood said, shaking his head. Vernon Dursley's face purpled when he saw Harry approaching and correctly deduced that they were magical folk. "Greetings Mister Dursley. I am sure you have heard of me. I am Sirius Black," Mister Lovegood said with a smile. Harry blinked and stared at Mister Lovegood in surprise. Vernon paled when he heard that and looked like he was going to have a heart attack. "Simple cosmetic charms make me look different, so even if you called for the police they would not believe you. I have been on this street at least five times in the last month in different disguises," Xenophilius lied smoothly. Harry did his best to keep from laughing at the look of pure horror on his uncle's face. "I am here to remove Harry from your care and we will be gathering his things. I would suggest you leave as well. The person who murdered your sister-in-law has fully recovered from his injuries and is looking to kill any that are related to her, since she did manage to hurt him. He is obsessed with revenge. Since Lily is dead, he will take it out on you, your wife, Harry, and your son," Mister Lovegood said. "I thought he was dead," Vernon stated with a little bit of color coming back into his face. "No. Merely injured and framing people left and right from the shadows to allow him a better chance this time around," Mister Lovegood replied calmly. "Harry, please gather your things and have your girlfriend help you." Both Harry and Luna blushed a bit at that comment, but they quickly did what Mister Lovegood said. They soon left and Harry started laughing. "Luna, I'm sorry I had to pretend to not know you, but I needed to convince Mister Dursley that I was Sirius Black and did not know you," Mister Lovegood said. "I can understand why you chose Sirius," Harry said through his laughter. "But why did you want to make sure that he thought you would not know Luna?" "Dumbledore. From what you have said so far, he seems to read people's minds casually and then there is Snape. He seems to break into your mind on a regular basis. Neither will recognize me. I have never attended Hogwarts. If Luna's mother hadn't been killed in that potions accident, Luna would not have attended either. We went with the more traditional apprenticeship model," Mister Lovegood explained. "The number of people who can recognize me is very low. I think it is up to a total of ten people with you added. I like my privacy. If I discounted the staff at the Quibbler, you and Luna, there would be only two people who would recognize me: Griselda Marchbanks and Amelia Bones." Luna nodded and handed him a copy of the Quibbler. "When I'm at Hogwarts, I work on being known as Loony Lovegood and they stay away from me. If it weren't for our ancestry, I would have been placed in Slytherin. The Quibbler is considered a tabloid in the Wizarding World. We come up with some wild conspiracy theories, but all of the stories that we print about someone are true. Although, we will change the name to protect him or her." "Some of these stories are hard to believe," Harry said. "When we print something that is not a theory, it is true," Luna said. "If you asked a person about Saul Sandbar, and then asked them if the story that we printed was factual. They would say we didn't state half the things he has done. As to the creatures we print about, there are many who would consider a basilisk a thing for the tabloids." Harry snorted as he read the theory about Sirius Black using a time turner to escape Azkaban and taking the name Stubby Boardman. "I can tell you that theory about Sirius is completely wrong," Harry said. "I really don't think he wants his Animagus form known." "Fair enough. Animagus? I thought of that, but didn't want to print it. I don't want people to know that I can turn myself into a squirrel." "And Rita Skeeter can turn herself into a beetle," Harry muttered. "Is that how she gets her exclusives?" Mister Lovegood asked and then snorted. "She must have got caught." "Hermione caught her and stuck her in a jar for a year and won't release her until she swears to stop printing lies," Harry replied. "The Muggleborn witch who tries to prove herself at all turns? She's going to burn herself out if she doesn't learn to enjoy life," Mister Lovegood said softly. Harry nodded reluctantly, recalling the year when he first met Sirius Black. "I think you and Luna should learn to become Animagi. It will help you out to have an escape route," Mister Lovegood said. "It took my father and his friends years to learn how," Harry said. "I don't think I have that much time." "They didn't have the books I have. All four Founders had Animagus forms. If you think about it, you can figure out what they were. Rowena was the exception. She had two. One was the raven and the other was a frog. She passed the ability to talk to frogs down through her line." "You're descended from Ravenclaw?" Harry asked in shock. "Yes. She married into the Lovegood family. Our family was known to have researched many magical creatures and the creation of several others when she helped found Hogwarts," Mister Lovegood replied. "As to the Crumple-Horned Snorkack, I believe that the Muggles have named it the Questing Beast that King Pellinore was trying to find. That is another person we are descended from and thus why we keep trying to find a Crumple-Horned Snorkack. We didn't descend from his son, but his youngest of two daughters. Actually we can trace our family back a bit to the warrior mage Fergus MacRoich and his wife the Archmagus Fildais. She was a deer Animagus and the Muggles called her a goddess because she was so powerful. We still have the magical sword Caladbolg at home." "If the Malfoys only knew," Harry muttered. "Exactly. The Malfoys and people like them are the reason we keep so quiet and barmy. It also keeps us from being bothered by Dumbledore and those who support him," Mister Lovegood said with a smile and a nod. As the trio walked on, they saw a group of four people heading towards a large van. One of the four was a young child. After listening a bit to the group. It was obvious that two of them were the young boy's parents. Leaving a man wearing a suit, sneakers, and a headband as the odd one in the group. The parents of the boy both wore glasses and were wearing Muggle business suits. Harry suddenly felt a chill in the air and feeling of dread swept over him. "We have a problem. Dementors," Harry muttered. Mister Lovegood and Luna looked at each other. "This is not good. I don't know how to cast a Patronus," Mister Lovegood said. "I always relied on wards at my home to keep them out." "I know how, but I'm underage and will get expelled from Hogwarts if I do something," Harry told them. "It looks like you won't have a choice," Luna countered. Harry turned and felt his stomach drop. He saw that the small group of Muggles was about to be attacked. The family looked like they were about to pass out from the fear. However, the oddball didn't seem bothered by the Dementors' aura. "Get to the van," Harry heard the man call out. "But what about you? What are those things?" the woman asked. "I don't know. I think I can handle it," the man said. "Kevin, be careful," the woman said with concern in her voice. "Don't worry," Kevin stated with a cocky grin on his face. What happened next would be etched on Harry's memory forever. Kevin stepped up to the lead Dementor and threw a punch at its face. The punch struck and an electrical discharge surrounded both Kevin and the Dementor. The electricity around Kevin was blue, while around the Dementor, it was a sickly green. The Dementor howled in pain as the electricity started shocking him. The Lovegoods stared in shock at the display. "How did he do that?" Luna asked. "I don't know. Harry, I don't think it matters now. I can feel the magical waves coming from here. Whatever that Kevin fellow did must have set off every magical alarm in all of England off," Mister Lovegood said. Harry nodded at the implicit command. "Expecto Patronum!" A silvery stage charged forth and started driving the two Dementors off, although it was still obvious that the one Dementor was in pain from the energy still surrounding and damaging it. The blue lightning aura faded around Kevin, as he stared at the silver stag that had just ran off the two creatures. "Are you all right?" Mister Lovegood asked. "I think so. That thing stung when I hit it," Kevin said, and looked at the trio suspiciously. "Who are you?" "It is what we are that you are really interested in. Harry and myself are wizards and my daughter Luna is a witch. Those two things were called Dementors and are used to guard a prison that holds wizard and witch criminals. I think they were after Harry here, since he does have enemies in the Ministry of Magic. I would try to take your memories of what had just happened, but I am unsure if it would work on you. I have never heard of that happening to a Dementor before. Something about you is different." A brief look of fear crossed Kevin's face and he quickly schooled his expression to be neutral. He then looked at Harry and confusion crossed his features. "Why would any government want to attack a child?" Kevin asked. "That's a long story. We would need to go someplace more private to talk that out. My name is Xenophilius Lovegood. That is my daughter Luna. That young man is Harry Potter." Kevin looked at the family who had recovered from the fear attack and had overheard everything. He quickly waved them over and started making introductions. "The young child is Jet Bradley. The woman is his mother Lora. His father is Alan. He's a professional paranoid that I employ. I am Kevin Flynn. I prefer to be called Flynn," Kevin said with a smile. "Kevin Flynn. Are you related to Errol Flynn?" Mister Lovegood asked. "The actor? No. If I am, it as a very distant cousin," Flynn laughed. "You don't know who I am, do you?" "The Wizarding World keeps to itself and does not concern itself with what goes on in the Muggle world." "Muggle?" Alan asked "It is a combination of the words magicless and mundane. It is what you are. Muggles are people that have no magic," Mister Lovegood replied. "We like our privacy and constantly use memory modification and Muggle repelling charms to cover any instances of magic being spotted." "So, I wasn't crazy in spotting a small tavern called the Leaky Cauldron," Flynn stated. "There is something off about you. If you could spot it, I would say that you are a wizard, but you aren't. I detect no magic from you," Mister Lovegood said. Kevin gave an amused snort, while Lora and Alan looked at him in concern. "We should get out of here and talk this over elsewhere," Mister Lovegood said. "We're heading to ENCOM and talking this over in the Digitization Lab," Flynn stated. "Are you sure we can trust them?" Alan asked. "No, but we're going to have to take the chance," Flynn stated. "On the way, they can explain about the Wizarding World. I have the feeling that that information will cause you to go into paranoia meltdown." "Flynn, stop teasing Alan," Lora said. "It's fun," Flynn protested. "Is Lora your sister?" Luna asked. That question brought laughter from the three. "No. She was my old girlfriend. I act as a godfather to their son. Alan and I have become best friends, although he thinks that I waste my talents in designing games. As the CEO of ENCOM, I need something to keep my mind off of all the petty bureaucrats that I have to deal with," Flynn said. "ENCOM? What's that?" Harry asked. "You have to be joking," Flynn said, shaking his head. "We are one of the largest manufacturers of videogames in the world." "The wizarding world still writes with quills," Harry supplied. "They usually don't want Muggle ideas dirtying their world for the most part. I don't agree with them, but I'm stuck with it." "I'm actually surprised that you believe us," Luna quietly stated. "I've been in stranger situations," Flynn stated. "No one would believe it. Come on, let's get to ENCOM. Alan is going to want to do some tests now." "True. I don't like the idea of a group of people thinking it is their right to tamper with my memories. I want some sort of defense," Alan said. Flynn ushered everyone into the van and as the group headed to ENCOM England. Soon, Alan and Lora started with the questions about magic and the Wizarding World. As the questions were answered, Kevin could see that both of his friends were getting upset with the Wizarding World. The fact that Dementors could suck the souls out of people made everyone ill and Flynn felt the gaze of Lora and Alan on trying to figure out why he could do what he did. "I'm going to have to tell them," Flynn muttered. "It seems to provide me with a defense against this magical manipulation. Hmmm. Maybe if we did that, we can get an accurate reading on magic." "Mister Flynn?" Luna asked. "Just Flynn. Mister Flynn is reserved for dealing with stockholder meetings and other companies. What do you want to know?" Flynn replied. "How did you do that to the Dementors?" Luna asked. "That's a long story. I have an idea, but I want to hold off on saying anything until we reach ENCOM," Flynn stated and then chuckled. "I know it's going to push Alan into a paranoia meltdown. Although, I have the feeling that they won't believe me since it is a very wild story." Alan glanced at Flynn with a bit of worry at that comment. If he could just accept magic and say that he has had an adventure that would top what they heard so far was true, it meant that there was a bigger problem in the works. Seeing Alan's concern, Flynn decided to throw him a clue. "Is has to do with the digitizing laser," Flynn stated. Now Lora had a look of concern on her face. Her project could top what they had heard so far? That bothered her more than she let on. The questions and answers went on and they came to Harry's home life. All of them were outraged at what Harry went through at the Dursleys. "Why don't you ask to be removed?" Flynn asked. "I do. I'm constantly told that my being there is for my protection and for the greater good," Harry replied. "Even now, Dumbledore will insist I leave and go back to stay with the Dursleys." "The road to Hell is paved with good intentions," Flynn muttered softly and shook his head. "I know a place where you can hide out for the rest of the summer and no one will be able to find you." "They will find me," Harry said ruefully. "I really doubt it. They are stuck in the middle-ages and have no clue as to what I'm thinking of," Flynn said. "It's part of that crazy story." The van pulled into the ENCOM England parking garage. Flynn drove up to the top level and pulled into a parking spot next to the elevator. "Technically, I'm the CEO and Alan is my second in command. I handle dealing with other companies and the government. Alan deals with the company itself. After the entire mess with Dillinger, I was made CEO and I started buying up ENCOM stock with what I received in damages due to his theft. I think I'm close to eighty-five percent of owning all of ENCOM stock," Flynn said. "I'm trying to get the last fifteen percent and have my dream come true of owning my own company." Alan and Lora were stunned at that revelation. "You're the majority stock-holder?" Alan asked. "Yep. I also own stock in BanDai, Hasbro, Mattel, and several other companies. Officially, I'm ranked number twenty-one on the richest people in the world chart. Unofficially, I have twice as much money as Bill Gates," Flynn said chuckling at his two friends' expressions. "Once I get that last fifteen percent, I intend to leave Alan or Gibbs as the CEO of the company and only deal with things from the background. The digitization laser is my main concern. I will explain why when we get to the lab. Gibbs is here, isn't he?" "Yes. After the crash of the MCP, he's been helping me out with getting the laser back up to where we had it," Lora replied. "We managed to get it back to where we had it before the MCP crash last month, but there has been some interference on using it. Although we are getting them set up on each of the main buildings around the world." "My doing. I will explain everything," Flynn said. They reached the digitization lab and saw Gibbs working at on a large laser. "Take a break Gibbs. You won't be able to fix the problem, since there isn't one. I will explain in a bit. We will need the three of you to prove to Gibbs what you told us," Flynn said. The three magical folk nodded. Alan and Lora quickly brought Gibbs up on what they had just been through and found out. Gibbs was a bit skeptical, but after Harry summoned the silver deer, he started to believe. "All right, Flynn. What is your story?" Alan asked. "Lora, Gibbs. I am sorry, but I have been blocking the laser from working as well as it did before the MCP crash and I will tell you why," Flynn said,as he went over to a computer station and started typing in passwords. He then told of his tale about trying to break into the MCP to prove that Dillinger stole from him and how it used the digitization laser on him and placed him inside the computer where he actually met Tron and Yori and helped them destroy the MCP. "Strange. It seems that a program has the same face as the person who wrote it and the digital world is a mirror of this world for the most part. I guess since I was actually composed of energy for a bit, that it translated to this world as that protection that fried that Dementor," Flynn said. "When you said your story was more wild than what we heard so far, I thought you were exaggerating things," Alan said, while running his right hand through his hair. "The digitizing laser is a bigger threat than what I first thought." "And there he goes," Flynn said with a smile. Alan gave Flynn a sour look and started to explain all the things that could be abused if someone duplicated Flynn's stunt. "Merlin, this guy could give Mad-Eye Moody lessons in paranoia," Mister Lovegood said. "Alan, enough. I didn't even come up with half the things you did and I started blocking the laser from being used properly," Flynn said while waving his hand dismissivley. "I just undid those blocks and I was thinking of digitizing Harry. That way we can use the computer to scan the magic as it is being used inside it." "All the monitoring programs you had us write," Lora muttered. "You wanted something to monitor that other world in case another human went in." "The programs call us Users and worship us like gods," Flynn stated. "God made us in his image and we did the same with the programs and that digital world." "I want to go as well," Luna said. "That way you have two people that are different. One of them being male and other being female." "That is up to your father," Flynn said. "Is it safe?" Mister Lovegood asked. "No. The digitization is safe, but the actual environment is not. Viruses, worms, intrusion-countermeasure programs, hacking programs and the like are there. It is a constant war zone," Flynn explained. "Any benefits?" Mister Lovegood asked. "Some. Time is run differently there. Back when I went in, an hour was like a full day. Now, it is a lot faster if you don't talk with the real world. You only physically age what you would age out here though," Flynn answered. "I'm concerned about Luna's safety," Mister Lovegood muttered. "Daddy, maybe we can come up with a way you would feel better. What if we went in and placed wards and shields up to protect the place?" "Security programs?" Flynn asked and frowned. "It might work. The other programs would leave you alone, since you are defense building." "Would you be able to digitize our books as well? We might as well study while we are in there," Luna asked. "Yes. It might be an interesting experiment to see how books translate into that world," Gibbs muttered, thinking of the possibilities of the digitizing laser's now revealed hidden ability. "A lot of the books I have with me are only temporary copies that will vanish in a few weeks," Harry said. Even better," Lora said. "That adds to the experiment." "I'm going to leave you brains to work on this problem. Alan will probably be working on the security aspect after he takes care of a very important task," Flynn cheerfully stated. "What task is that?" Alan asked frowning. Flynn pointed to the young boy, who was yawning. "You need to put your son to bed," Flynn said cheekily. Giving a bit of a laugh, Alan picked Jet up and carried him out of the room. "Come on, Jet. Let's get you to bed." Everyone heard some weak protest from the five-year old boy, but it was obvious he was fighting a losing battle. "I actually have an apartment in each of the buildings where I can sleep. However, I usually let the Bradley's use it, since they can keep an eye on their son better that way. Honestly, the room is way overdone for my tastes," Flynn explained. "I'm thinking about putting a nursery in each of the office buildings. It might not be cost- effective, but is shows that I have more on my mind than just making money or grabbing power." "The Anti-Dillinger," Lora stated with some amusement. "I'm not after control. I do things to make everyone's life more enjoyable. Alan is the one who works at safety," Flynn countered. Soon, Alan came back and Flynn was about to leave. "Flynn. I want to talk to you more about your advenutre, and I will be working on securing this new threat," Alan said. "Have fun with the laser. Mister Lovegood, if you can get me copies of your paper and the Daily Prophet, it would be appreciated," Flynn said. "I will do so," Mister Lovegood said with a nod. Flynn gave a smile at Luna and Harry. "You two are going to a very beautiful world, but a very dangerous one. Be careful." Alan and Flynn left talking about the digital world and Flynn's adventures. Gibbs stared at the door and shook his head. "I should be upset that Flynn interfered with us like that, but I'm not. He had information we didn't," Gibbs said. Lora nodda and looked at Harry and Luna. "Are you two ready?" "Just a moment," Harry said, and started emptying his trunk of books. Seeing what Harry was doing, Luna did the same. Harry picked up his Firebolt and snickered, as he put it back in the trunk. He picked up the invisibilty cloak and hesitated. He sighed and stuffed it back in the trunk as well. Luna and Harry looked at each other and put their wands down nect to the books. "Please digitize our wands right after you do us," Luna said. "You don't have to do this, you know," Lora stated. "I need time to study and prepare. I have that problem that Voldemort is coming after me. He killed my parents. I have to do this," Harry stated clearly. "Harry needs someone who he can talk to from our world. I guess I've been voulenteered," Luna added. "Deseperation and neccesity is what drives you, not courage," Gibbs said sadly. Harry and Luna nodded. "Please put your wands on the floor in front of you. Harry, you will be first, since you have people chasing you," Lora ordered. Doing so, Luna and Harry took a deep breath. Lora typed up the firing sequence and gave a snort when she saw that they were further ahead than they thought they were, after Flynn had removed his interference. The beam quickly powered up and fired at Harry. He was soon vanished under the power of the digitizing laser. Lora and Gibbs repeated the process with Luna, the wands, and the books. Lora hesitated and puleld out the two brroms and set them down, and digitized them as well, along with the cloak that Harry had pulled out. "Did it work?" Lora asked. Gibbs pointed at a screen. She typed up some information and started chuckling. The books they had digitized had their protections translated to an easy to break subroutine and which Lora quickly broke. Lora typed up a bit more and found Harry. "At least we were able to talk to programs directly for a while," Lora muttered. "Harry? Are you all right?" "I think so. I feel weird," came from the speakers. "I look different." "Probably because you are data at the moment," Lora said. "I sent you wands and brooms to you and that strange silver cloak." "I have them, although they appear different now," Harry's voice replied. "How long do you want to stay there?" Lora asked. "A week before September first. I need to get to Diagon Alley for my school books." "That's about a month our time. We will talk later about how magic translates into the digital world. You are in another universe, so you should be all right," Lora said. In the digital universe, Harry Potter was looking at his hands and body that were covered by a one-piece skin-tight white suit after he had finished talking with Lora. There were red glowing lines on the suit, making him look like a walking circuit board. He looked at what happened to his Firebolt and gave a snort. It had changed to look like some kind of high tech device that tickled the edge of his memory. As Harry touched it, it vanished and was replaced by a strange looking staff that could be separated at the middle. "Rod primitive?" Harry muttered and looked at the staff with red glowing lines. He quickly split the staff in to two pieces and slid each half into the metallic like boots he was now wearing. He then spotted what he knew to be his wand, but it was surrounded by several glowing auras. For some reason, Harry was hesitant to approach his wand. He turned when he heard metallic footsteps approaching him. He stared in shock as he looked at a girl dressed like he was but only in blue. She was wearing a skullcap that kept her hair covered up. "Hello, Harry. I see that you don't need your glasses in here," the girl said. "Luna? Is that you?" Harry asked. "Yes. Blue is not my color, but I can deal with it. I guess I should have been in Hufflepuff if I wanted to be yellow," Luna said in amusement. "Did you get your broom and wand?" "I'm scared to pick up my wand," Harry said, as he pointed his thumb to the glowing device behind him. "My wand was only glowing blue," Luna muttered and cast a few spells. The spells sped out and struck the wand. Harry was a bit surprised to see a transparent screen appear in front of Luna's eyes and words being displayed across it. "Seems like spells work differently in here," Luna whispered. "It seems like all that mess is a bunch of tracking spells and that one seems to be a magic suppression spell and that one affects people's emotions towards you." The lines on Harry started glowing brighter, as his anger built. "Can you get rid of them?" "Hmm? I think so," Luna said. "The main problem with most of those spells have been taken care of. They are tied to something that anchors them. This place is far beyond where those anchors can reach." Luna cast a few spells that had a harsh look to them and the strange spells started vanishing. She then cast the detection spell at Harry and frowned. "It seems that your ability to speak to snakes is tainted. Apparently, if you kill Riddle you will die as well. If Riddle kills you, he will die," Luna softly explained. "This will be slightly painful to you, but I have the feeling that it will be very painful to Mister Riddle. I think I can set it up, that you keep the ability to talk to snakes." "Why would you say that?" Harry asked. "You heard what Flynn said. Time is faster in here. I can spread it out over a bit and it will feel like a mild sunburn over your entire body for a week, but for Riddle it will be crippling pain for an entire day. The faster the time, the more pain he will be in," Luna said. "Please take care of that," Harry said. Luna nodded and Harry felt his entire body feel a bit sore from the spell. He picked up his wand and then spotted a glowing box. He quickly touched it and frowned as the box vanished. "Stealth mode downloaded?" Harry muttered. "I think that was your invisibility cloak," Luna said. "This is going to take some time to get used to," Harry muttered. "Let's go find the books. I want to see how they were affected." Luna said. Harry stared at Luna in disbelief. "Luan? You aren't shocked by this world?" Harry asked. "No. Should I be?" "Er...." "Daddy and I keep getting into weird situations over the summer holiday. This does top anything I've seen yet, but there is no reason to go into shock or panic. We knew that we would be different coming in here." Harry looked at his wand and shook his head. "Where are we supposed to store our wands?" Before Luna could answer, Harry's wand thickened and enlarged. It soon stopped growing and Harry was holding a red Frisbee in his hand with a triangle depicted on the center. Harry felt a sudden urge to put the Frisbee behind him and felt it connect to his back by some kind of magnetic force. Luna glanced at her wand and it also changed into a blue Frisbee. Instead of putting it on her back, she attached it to the side of her right hip. "That must be the standard weapon in here," Luna speculated. "Now that that's taken care of, let's get to the books." The two quickly went through the strange building that they were in and found what looked to be crystals floating in the air. Luna pulled her disk off her hip and it changed back into a wand. She qucikly cast a few detection spells and gave a chuckle as the self- destruction of the books Harry had copied was removed. "Those are the books we brought with us. They have changed quuite a bit, haven't they?" Luna said. Harry reached out and touched one of the crystls. It flared and Harry felt his mind filling with the information from the book. "That's different. I just touched the crystal and everything that was in the book just appeared in my mind," Harry said. "Hermione is probably going to kill us both for using such a cheat. I don't care," Luna responded cheerfully. "It gives us more time to explore this world." Harry nodded and the two of them went through and touched each knowledge crystal. After finsihing, Harry saw what looked to be some kind of radio alongside one wall. "Mrs. Bradley? We've managed to get the knowledge from all the books. You can bring them back out now," Harry said into the radio. Lora's voice came back over the radio. "How the blazes did you read them that fast?" "We didn't read them. They turned into giant floating crystals and when we touched them, all the knowledge that they had was put into our minds," Harry replied. "Text files. Probably the fastest thing to open up and read," Lora's voice said in a thoughtful tone. "Some of them took a bit longer due to them having spells described in them," Harry said. "I'm bringing them out. Please clear the area," Lora said. Harry and Luna looked at each other and nodded. They quickly left the room and then found an exit from the building. The two of them stared in woder at the black sky and the terrain that they saw. There were buildings made up of polygons and had the numbers one and zero floating around some of them. There were huge cliffs in the distance that were created by drawing with glowing orange ink and painted black. "We can't see this far on Earth," Luna said. "The horizon is so far away. I think that those cliffs are more than a thousand miles away." Harry pulled out the rods that used to be his Firebolt and a screen appeared in front of his eyes. Transportation Modes: 1. Lightcycle-Blue, Yellow, Red 2. Super Lightcycle-NA 3. Flightcycle-Blue, Yellow, Red 4. Super Flightcycle-NA "Okay that was different. Flightcycle? I thought my Firebolt looked familliar It was a red hovercycle. I wonder which color I should take and should I use the Flightcycle." "Color? I thought you would only have red. I only have blue," Luna said. "I think it has to do with the fact that I have a Firebolt. What do you have?" "A new Cleansweep 250," Luna replied. "A Firebolt versus a Cleansweep 250?" Luna chuckled. "Yes, I can see that now." "I think the Nimbus 2000 and 2001 would translate to Yellow Flightcycles." A flash of blue light caught their attention. They turned and saw a pulse of energy ride up a large blue beam reaching up into the sky. "I think the books are back in the other world," Luna murmured.
