Leprachan Dancing

My 11 year old daughter Ashley is in her 3rd year at the Las Vegas Civic Ballet. We saw a special on channel 10 on 12-09-99 of Michael Flatley's final performance of "Feet of Flames" in London. We thoroughly enjoyed watching Michael and the entire cast move their feet with great energy and grace. My daughter was so very impressed, she said, "Dad, we have to see them live, they're here in Vegas you know." Thank you for giving my daughter the added inspiration to further continue her dancing career. We look forward to seeing "Lord of the Dance". Thank you. Leperchan Playing Flute

My four year old daughter asks to hear Michael's greeting each day, before playing her Elmo CDrom. You know you rank high when a four year old chooses you over Elmo! Take Care! We are looking forward to seeing your new show when it hits the LA area. 152.163.213.71 <> ONTARIO, CA UNITED STATES - Wednesday, November 24, 1999 at 21:49:08 (PST)

My First graders and myself enjoyed watching all of Michael's videos. The children and myself are amazed at how fast Michael can dance. A funny side note; My class refers to Micheal as if he were a close personal friend of theirs. They say things like" Michael can do that better."" Michael would like that" 206.43.250.100 <> Madera, CA U.S.A. - Wednesday, November 10, 1999 at 13:17:30 (PST)

Your talent and tenacity and dance has brought untold pleasure to three generations of my family!! My 4 year old granddaughter Keenah wants to dance like You! You are truly the Dancin' equivalent of pure positive energy!! I'd be ready to become Irish in spirit if I wasn't already born to it!! Congratulations and thanks to You and your troupe!! 205.188.197.172 <> Oakdale, CA USA - Thursday, July 22, 1999 at 00:00:12 (PDT)

Our children started watching your wonderful Irish dancing two years ago. Now, four videos and many PBS broadcasts later they are quite good little dancers. They amaze us at what they can actually do correctly! Our daughter danced off all of her baby fat and our son is a well-rounded little athlete who can Irish dance. Thank you over and over again. Our ancestry is from the British Isles and this music goes right to our soul! Our children started this at ages 3 and 7. They are now 5 and 9--still dancing. They don't ever walk through the house, they dance! THANK YOU!!! 209.30.67.199 <> Bellaire, TX USA - Sunday, July 18, 1999 at 15:59:41 (PDT)

Dear Michael, I wanted to let you know how you have inspired my 13 year old daughter, Ashley. She has no access to Irish Dancing lessons, but because she so admires your talent and that of your accomplished group, she works doubly hard on her tap solos. We live in a small town, and are lucky to have a dance studio here at all, but it doesn't offer much of a challenge for Ashley. The dance teacher was kind enough to hire a more advanced teacher, but Ashley has learned all she can locally. She has her own fund raisers so that she can hire someone to teach her on a solo basis, and the teacher allows her to rent the studio by the hour. She is very dedicated. She also dances at our local college, as I home school her, and the college professor, impressed by Ashley's talent, maturity, & dedication, gives her lessons along with her college students for free. I help out by being a sound "person" during classes. I guess what I'm trying to say is, keep up the good work. Not only do you do a wonderful job at performing, but you 'inspire the inspired' to reach goals that sometimes seem unreachable. Sincerely, Shirley McKay 209.153.70.18 <> Marshall, MO USA - Saturday, July 03, 1999 at 22:21:07 (PDT)

Dear Michael, Hi. My name is Annie and I am thirteen. I have cerebral palsy, so therefore I am not able to do Irish dancing. But I just wanted to write and say thank you. I love your show Lord Of The Dance, it is brilliant. I watch it every day, and it inspires me every time I watch it. You inspire me. I think what you do is amazing. I have loved Irish dancing all my life. I know you work very hard, and have great talent, gifts, and abilities that God has blessed you with. Not just anybody can do what you do. Although I have cerebral palsy, I know God can heal me if it is His will. And I think He will so that I will get to dance here on earth. But if I don't get to do it here I will do it in heaven. I just wanted to say thank you because watching your show brings me great happiness. It reminds me that someday I will get to dance, just like you. Thank you for all that you do. I appreciate all your hard work. Thank you and God bless. I hope I will get to dance with you in heaven. Love, Annie 152.163.197.61 <> Jasper, TN USA - Thursday, July 01, 1999 at 07:25:34 (PDT)

Just passing through to share a chuckle (IMHO). First you must know my house isn't "quiet" very often!! Yesterday Josh David and I were reading early in the morning (really not a typical moment :) Norman had left for work, and David turns to me and says "Mom, Dad left LOTD playing on the stereo." I smiled, "no honey, my CD is at the office." Now, we haven't watched the video in 3-4 weeks.... But David swore he was hearing Siamsa, even stomped over and turned off the ceiling fan and made us sit perfectly still. He is the perfect Flathead, "no batteries required" and will never have to replace his CD.......He says next he wants to work in seeing Michael on the inside of his eyelids..... :) / Mary Lou Smile Machine Person 205.188.200.32 <> - Sunday, June 27, 1999 at 10:59:24 (PDT)

Hello, Please pass on to Michael, that Kyla, my 7yr old little girl is aspiring to be just like him!! (She is a cancer survivor, so the fact that she has a possible future as a dancer is a blessing in itself!!). I just purchased FEET OF FLAMES for her and she has watched it over and over! Could you please tell me when there will be a show in the New Hampshire area?? I would greatly appreciate it!! Thank you!! My children ages 9 & 5 know and can dance Lord of the Dance by heart. Thanks for the inspiration. My oldest has severe asthma, but his doctor credits doing the dancing to make his lungs stronger. I don't think you will ever know how many lives you truly touch. We were lucky enough to catch your show when it came through town last year. WHAT A SHOW !!! I don't know who enjoyed it more - myself or the kids!! Keep up the great work !!!! 206.31.22.253 <> Amarillo, TX USA - Monday, June 21, 1999 at 14:59:45 (PDT)

My 3 year daughter has fallen in love with Micheal. My mother and my older brother saw the production in Amherst, and purchased the video. Well since then my daughter has to watch the video atleast 5 times a day .( We all enjoy it so it isn't a problem.) She tells everyone that we show the video to that Micheal is her boyfriend and that she is going to marry him. Their going to have two children, She'll keep one and he can keep one. Well we hope that Micheal gets a kick out of our story. Enjoy and keep healthy. Shelly 207.50.214.222 <> monson, ma USA - Monday, June 21, 1999 at 13:22:31 (PDT)

OK so what do you say to a lovely little girl (age 6) who asks "how old will Michael be when I am 20?" My little girl Megan who refused dance lessons last year has been watching the Feet of Flames video DAILY when she gets home from kindergarden. My PURE POLISH mother, who watches her while I work, has been encouraging her all the way! So it looks like I'll be looking for a good school for Irish dance and trying to fit it into my fall schedule. I guess I'll get my own lessons from her. The brother of one of my co-workers happens to be an Irish dance judge, who has judged some of Michael's competitions when he was a youngster and has nothing but wonderful things to say about Michael. I'll have to make a point of getting my Meggie to one of the performances next time he's in the NY area. 24.48.73.15 <> Pine Beach, NJ USA - Wednesday, June 16, 1999 at 19:12:30 (PDT)

Hi Michael! I'm 9 years old and I am an Irish Dancer. I love Lord of the Dance and Feet of Flames. Dr John Cullinane told my class last year that if we work hard enough we will be able to be just like you. And I hope one day to dance just like you. When I grow up I want to be in a show just like Lord of the Dance or Feet of Flames. Crissy. 203.46.32.108 <> Home Hill, QLD Australia - Saturday, August 07, 1999 at 03:07:03 (PDT)

I am sure that Mr. Flatley receives numerous letters and messages, however I wanted to take a moment and thank him for bringing a true spark into my daughters life. Alana is only 6 years old and ever since Riverdance was released she has become entranced with Irish dancing. She has seen all of his videos multiple times and imitates the dancers. With our Irish/Scotish background, I am making every effort to get her into a class here in Minnesota. I hope many more performances are released on video soon so that she can still dream and dance. Thank you. 205.188.200.43 <> Brooklyn Park, MN USA - Sunday, August 01, 1999 at 16:52:31 (PDT)

Michael, all of us in our family really enjoy your work, brilliant doesn't really say enough. My 18 month old grandson Zackery is so taken with your dancing, that the tape broke this week, it took a lot of searching to find a store with a new tape. My grandson says Michael dance whenever he wants the tape on which is 5 or 6 times a day, his little feet go along to the music, and his arms spread out wide. At times we have to tell him Michael is sleeping, just to get him to do other things, maybe he'll want to dance when he grows up a little. Keep up the good work Michael, our enjoyment of it just goes on and on......Susan O'Donovan 206.172.206.63 <> Waterloo Ontario, canada - Sunday, July 25, 1999 at 06:58:38 (PDT
