Candy's Trunk Refinish

When I purchased her, the Monza exhaust and lack of a trunk liner made Candy a very noisy little lady in the cockpit.

After researching the audio system, I found a material called Dynamat. If you have not used this type of material in your car, you should.

This is a sound proofing and temperature resistant material. It is a thin sheet, consisting of a rubbery flexible material. On one side is a very sticky adhesive covered with a backing sheet, while the other side is covered with a thick aluminum foil. Simply remove the backing sheet, apply to clean surface and use a 1" hand roller (hardware store wallpaper seam roller) to form it to the surface of the car. Cuts with a rasor knife or scissors.

Once applied, cover it with a carpet kit and your transmission whine, road noise, or exhaust howl goes someplace else.
