Leaving camp at Fifty Mountain on the morning of Day Three, we walked out of the trees and up over a slight rise. A magnificent view of the back side of Cathedral Peak greeted us in the cool morning air.

After a good nioght's rest, we wished that we had taken the short cutoff up to the Sue Lake Lookout, to get a better look down into the glaciers on the other side of this big wall.
