After a successful Electrical Engineering career Cyrus Brenneman was disappointed with the supposed "High-End" audio products then on the market.  He found them to be over-priced, but with no real technical innovation to justify their high cost.  Having built his first amplifier in 1957, Cyrus decided to see if he could come up with something better...something truly unique that would apply the knowledge he gained over 40+ years to the vintage tube technology and sound he had fallen in love with back in his youth.  Cyrus soon discovered that he was not alone in his quest for the ultimate sound, and began making contacts with other in the "Audiophile" arena, most notably Dr. Bruce Edgar of Edgarhorn.  Dr. Edgar's highly sensitive and efficient horn speakers were a natural match with the ultra-low distortion amplifiers Cyrus was building.  For years Cyrus Brenneman amplifiers have been the exclusive amps used to demonstrate the Edgarhorn systems.  Cyrus Brenneman Audio was founded to share the results of this endeavor with others who share this passion - to hear sound, faithfully reproduced, with no distortion or coloration from the equipment.
