When you decide
to engage me to officiate at your wedding, I will provide you with a number of vows, reading and ceremonies, such as Candle
Lighting, Sand, and Rose ceremonies to add to the basic ceremony I use. My ceremony emphasizes the two of you have been drawn
together for a divine purpose, that love will grow and challenge you. I do not use the traditional, "Love, Honor, and Obey"
nor "Until death do you part." Instead my ceremony highlights the mutual responsibility and joy towards your relationship
and that you will be together through "all the changes of your life." Following is a sample of a few of the vows.
Vows Do you, Groom, take Bride as
your wife? Will you be faithful to her in tender love and honor, offering encouragement and companionship in times of prosperity
as well as adversity? “Yes”
Do you, Bride take Groom as your husband? Will you be
faithful to him in tender love and honor, offering encouragement and companionship in times of prosperity as well as adversity?
“Yes”
Groom, please repeat your wedding vows after me: “I offer myself to you… as a partner in
life. I promise to encourage you … in good times and bad … I shall cherish
and respect you … all the days of my life … forever giving thanks … that we found each other.”
Bride, please repeat your wedding vows after me: “I offer myself to you… as a partner in
life. I promise to encourage you … in good times and bad … I shall cherish
and respect you … all the days of my life … forever giving thanks … that we found each other.”
Exchange Of Rings May I have the rings? Let these rings symbolize the devotion and commitment each
holds for the other. These rings, given in love, are a testimony to all who bear witness that Groom and Bride are truly joined
together as husband and wife.
Groom, please place this ring on Bride's finger and repeat
after me, “I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and commitment.”
Bride, please place this ring on Groom's finger and repeat
after me, “I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and commitment."
Blessing These two lives are now joined in one unbroken
circle. Wherever they go, may they always return to one another in their togetherness. May these two find in each other the
love all men and women yearn. May they grow in understanding and in compassion. May the home they establish be a place where
people are more important than possessions. And may these two rings symbolize the
spirit of undying love in the hearts of both of them.

When the heart is flooded
with love, there is no room in it for fear, for doubt, for hesitation. And it is this
lack of fear that makes the dance. When each partner loves so completely that he had forgotten to ask himself whether he is
loved in return; when he only knows that he loves and is moving to the music – then and only then, are two people able
to dance perfectly, in tune to the same rhythm. (Ann Morrow Lindburgh)
