"What We Discard" is a series of people-less portraits of individuals in transition. Trash, ranging
from a shredded old sofa to an oriental lamp, is photographed in the location and condition it was found. Upon printing,
each photograph is crumpled to emphasize the deliberate act of discarding. The viewer may then read the stories
they tell - how these objects were used and why they were thrown out - giving them a glimpse into the evolving identities
of the people who once owned them.
