Yoga Asanas
The word Yoga is based on a Sanskrit word that means "to yoke, harness." It now has many definitions, like union, or spiritual endeavor. Yoga-Asana means Yoga posture, and that is what most people think of as Yoga. I think the best description is union. It is the union of the mind, body, and life force. It could be described as the union of Meditation, Asanas and Prana.
I teach Yoga Asanas to beginners, and people who feel that they cannot get on the floor for some reason. I have put together a set of Asanas that are done in a chair. I call it Chair Yoga.
I have classes in the Los Angeles Area. You can E-mail me for further information, or to be put on my mailing list.
