Fund Raisers

Band fees will come to $240.00 per student. This will include $10 for each student's Venture Crew registration, and $26.00 for the marching shoes. This leaves $204.00 per student for the band operating expenses. I'm asking that each student have $100 in by the end of October and the balance in by the end of November. Students can participate in fund-raisers to cover the costs.

Coupon books are ready to sell. Each coupon book sells for $20.00, and delivers a $10.00 profit. In the band and flag organization, the entire $10.00 profit per book goes to the student's account. So a student can sell 24 booklets and raise the entire fee without the parents having to come out of pocket at all. [Entertainment book sale end October 31.]

More fund-raisers will be made available. Mark Hutchings (Amanda's dad) has a friend who will pay us for discarded ink cartridges. He was going to make a presentation at last Tuesday's meeting. Some of the students will be organzing this effort. All we need to do is save our empty ink cartridges, and get our friends to do the same.

Also, for quick fund-raising results there is the on-going candy sales drive. We desparately need a parent who can come in once a week during nutrition (about 9:15 A.M.) to distribute candy and take in money. Any volunteers? [Candy sales continue all semester.]
