FHA issued a mortgagee letter revising its Home Inspection Form to incorporate radon testing as one of the components the homebuyer(s) should consider at the time of purchase. The form also clarifies the importance and differences between an appraisal and a home inspection. Mandatory use of the new disclosure began on February 22, 2004.
