Welcome to Form-O-Rama ®
Like many other pages in the early incarnation of this web site, this one was created because I spent most of my computing time in various public clusters on the campus of Princeton University during my pre-generals residency. Without the benefit of a consistent bookmarks collection in the browser of whatever random box I was using, I began assembling them in a web page that I could access anywhere. It was years before I finally switched over to a laptop, just in time to start taking advantage of wireless internet access.
For some reason I became obsessed with going beyond a simple link to a resource like www.m–w.com and starting pirating the <FORM> codes found in the .html sources of these sites and kept adding them here. What a ridiculous bother, and a real pain to maintain! They're still below mainly due to inertia, and the natural but somewhat illogical resistance of any programmer to delete code that required countless hours to construct, no matter how obsolete it has become. I really should thin them out, or at least segregate them and use this page to describe more of my research interests, but then again I should be spending a bit more time just working on my dissertation... In the meantime, I'm sure that some of these links/forms are broken. Sorry.
