O'Neal Plaza, downtown Douglasville - Link to MapQuest It is time for one of Douglasville’s most successful annual events, Taste for Douglasville Arts, presented by the Cultural Arts Council, the Downtown Development Authority of Douglasville, our Diamond level sponsor GreyStone Power, and many other local businesses large and small. This year’s event will take place on May 21, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on O’Neal Plaza and Church Street in downtown Douglasville. There will be high quality outdoor art exhibitions and outstanding performances on the O’Neal Plaza stage by local talent, schoolchildren & citizens alike, and more vendors, more restaurants, more participants & more activities at this community cultural showcase in historic downtown Douglasville than ever before. The two first ladies of our community – Janice Thompson, our Mayor’s wife, and Linda Worthan, wife of the new Chairman of the Douglas County Commission – will serve as the Co-Chairs for the 2005 Taste for the Douglasville Arts. Both are successful local businesswomen who know the arts help build strong communities for their families, friends and employees. WSB 750 AM Radio is our official Media Sponsor for the 2005 Taste for Douglasville Arts. Stop by and say hello to WSB's Cap't Herb Emory as he broadcasts his NASCAR Show LIVE from 3-5pm. This event brings together 30 popular restaurants and 5,000 participants on O’Neal Plaza, with the proceeds benefiting the Cultural Arts Council's quality arts programs for the community. We are one of the fastest growing areas in Georgia, and our schools and citizens continue to demand more of the diverse educational and high quality arts programs we provide. This year’s Taste promises to be better than ever before, an event local families should not miss.
