A native of North Carolina, Ann Rowles moved to Atlanta in 1995. She received her MFA in Sculpture from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has taught sculpture and drawing at UNC-Chapel Hill, NC Central University, and Western Carolina University. Her awards include the North Carolina Arts Council Visual Artist Fellowship, the Triangle Arts Award in Visual Arts presented by The Independent Weekly (Durham, NC) and the Emerging Artist Grant from the Durham Arts Council. She has exhibited widely in the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Northeast regions and is affiliated with SOHO20 Gallery in New York City.
