The Virginia Division of the SCV has taken on the responsibility of marking the graves of 17,200 Confederate soldiers from every Southern state buried in the Oakwood Cemetery in Richmond, capital of the Confederacy.    The Virginia Division will also pay the costs of maintaining the graves.  That amount is approximately $25,000 annually.
