Oracle and SQLServer Database Administrator

Oracle – Provided Oracle support in an NT environment for a Call Center, Help Desk, and Provider application:

  • Significantly improved the applications’ performance, set up appropriate test environments for the developers, and planned/executed production implementations
  • Assisted in the installation and configuration of ADSM Oracle backup/recovery procedures
  • Created naming conventions and wrote installation and setup procedures for a new Oracle environment including the scheduling of database utilities (backing up, exporting, analyzing statistics)
  • Installed and configured ‘Q Diagnostics’, an Oracle Performance Monitor

SQLServer –Provided SQLServer support for an Investigation, Care Management and Mail/Linkage application:

  • Populated databases using mainframe flat files and Access databases as input
  • Created standards and procedures similar to that of Oracle’s

SYBASE MDI gateway -- Architected and implemented connectivity from windows applications on the client (Powerbuilder, MSAccess) , to MDI gateway on OS/2 (netbios), to DB2 on MVS (APPC).
