Designed, coded and maintained 2 neighborhood Web sites, Innis Arden and Licton Springs, 2 city candidate websites McConnell and Grace as well as 2 data driven Web sites, for a greeting card company, www.spacenoodles.com and for a high school reunion, www.seattlewebfeat.com/rhs66/index.html. Used Photoshop, Dreamweaver, JPadPro, JavaScript, ASP, CGI, PHP and MySQL. Maintained www.ivandoig.com using ASP

Oracle, SQLServer and DB2 Database Administration

Oracle – Provided Oracle support in an NT environment for a Call Center, Help Desk, and Provider application. Installed and administered  Oracle on OS/2 and Unix

  • Significantly improved the applications’ performance, set up appropriate test environments for the developers, and planned/executed production implementations
  • Created naming conventions and wrote installation and setup procedures for a new Oracle environment including the scheduling of database utilities (backing up, exporting, analyzing statistics)
  • Installed and configured ‘Q Diagnostics’, an Oracle Performance Monitor
  • Provided database related Unix administration support on a Sunsparc 1000 (storage management, user logon scripts, shutdown/startup procedures, cronjobs)
  • Standardized the configuration of Oracle clients (SQLNET/TCPIP and ODBC)
  • Developed and implemented backup and recovery procedures using Unix scripts as well as IBMs product, ADSM
  • Defined DBA roles/responsibilities and developed an Oracle Operations guide
  • Negotiated licensing agreements with Oracle Corporation

SQLServer –Provided SQLServer support for an Investigation, Care Management and Mail/Linkage application:

  • Populated databases using mainframe flat files and Access databases as input
  • Created standards and procedures similar to that of Oracle’s
  • Converted a SQLServer Database to Oracle, as well as the Gupta SQLWindows application

DB2 - Installed, customized, monitored and tuned DB2 and related OEM products

SYBASE MDI gateway -- Architected and implemented connectivity from windows applications on the client (Powerbuilder, MSAccess) , to MDI gateway on OS/2 (netbios), to DB2 on MVS (APPC).
