Waverly has the best water conditions on Lake Washington ... why do you think it's called WAVErly? It can be sailed on anything from a SE to a SW push with dead south forming the best waves. The 20 mile uninterupted wind path down the lake creates the occasional 6 ft face. 70 mph winds are clocked each year on my annemometer at my perch above Juanita Beach (which you can downwind sail to if you can find a buddy to pick you up).

You will always find someone to sail with if there is any wind to speak of. Both parking lots will be jammed if it's sunny 5.0.

D I R E C T I O N S Waverly Beach is in Kirkland at it's westernmost point. Take the Kirkland-Redmond exit off I-405 and head west into town. Pass thru the main intersection (Lake Washington Blvd) and go straight for 1/2 block. Turn right on Market Street then take the next left at approximately 2 blocks. Travel straight for 1/2 mile when the road will dead-end you directly into the park.
