On the Washington side of the Columbia. Also known as Alder Creek this site was named by three intrepid explorers who found tastier wind. You'll find that fisherman like this spot as well, so take care not to cross their lines.

When it blows, as it does in easrl spring until late summer, expect 3.5 to 5.0 conditions. The wind will be the best if has a west to southwest influence to it.

Alder Creek's release makes it slightly choppy at the launch but you probably won't even notice. On bigger days, 5 foot swellsform about 1/4 mile out from the launch. Usually starboard ramps, except during a NW wind. Wave and wave slalom.

D I R E C T I O N S Three Dudes / Alderdale Travel east on Hwy 14 about 49 miles from the Maryhill bridge. The turnoff is near milepost #148 in the north side of the highway. The road winds underneatrh the highway next to Alder Creek and then leads down to the park.

Parking for 10 vehicles.
