Offering the campus staff and 2000 students approximately 35,000 print and media resources, the Crest High Library's collection addresses diverse academic and leisure interests. Holdings encompass approximately 5,000 fiction books and 22,000 nonfiction and reference books, including bound magazines. Patrons have access to 37 magazines and journals, three daily newspapers, and a vertical file, which houses clippings, manuscripts, brochures, maps, and similar materials. One of the facility's conference rooms provides career and college planning resources.
Technological resources accessible on the library's CD ROM network include SIRS Researcher (newspaper and magazine articles), MAS FullText Premium (magazine articles, newspaper articles, teacher resources), NewsBank's NewsFile (retrospective newspaper articles), Facts on File News Service (daily news coverage, updated quarterly through 2001), SIRS Government Reporter (government documents), SIRS Renaissance (articles relevant to the arts), McGraw-Hill Encyclopedia of Science and Technology, Microsoft Encarta Encyclopedia, World Book Encyclopedia, and Microsoft Bookshelf.
Conversion of the library's older online catalog to a new program and the acquisition of high speed Internet access for students were completed in October 2002.
