GDA reserves the right to have a veterinarian or its employees check or treat the mare for normal breeding practices or in the event of injury or illness of the mare and/or her foal. It is agreed that GDA may exercise their judgment in the supervision and care of the mare and/or her foal. In the event of an injury, illness, or death of the mare and/or foal, GDA and its representatives will not be held liable. It is also agreed that the mare owner will not be held liable for any injury or illness caused by the mare or her foal to any GDA horses or personnel. 9. GDA guarantees a live foal from this breeding. A live foal is defined as one that stand and nurses unassisted. In the event that the mare aborts or otherwise fails to produce a live foal from this breeding the mare owner shall be entitled to a return breeding with the mare owner being responsible for all vet, mare care and breeding charges associated with the rebreed. This guarantee is null and void if GDA is not notified within one week of the foal's demise or when the mare is found to be open. This notice must be accompanied by a statement from a licensed vet. This guarantee is not transferable without the prior consent of GDA. 10. The mare must be examined by a licensed vet between 18 and 30 days after the last day bred and GDA advised of her pregnancy status within 10 days. 11. Should the stallion die or otherwise become unfit for breeding this contract shall transferable to another GDA stallion. If the mare should die or otherwise become unfit for breeding, this contract is null and void unless written approval from GDA is issued granting a substitute mare. 12. The breeding season shall be from January 15 to July 1st. 2. The mare owner agrees to pay a stallion service fee of $________ of which $__250___ deemed as the booking fees payable with this contract and is nonrefundable. The mare owner will send a complete current copy of the mare's registration papers with this contract as well as any necessary lease information or documentation needed. 4. Mare care is $10 per day wet or dry. Mare owner is responsible for mare care, all vet and farrier bills. 5. A current, 6-month negative Coggins test must accompany the mare upon her arrival to the breeding farm. The mare must be in a healthy and sound breeding condition. If found unfit for breeding, the stallion manager shall make a reasonable effort to treat the mare at the mare owner's expense. If the mare is unable to be settled the mare owner may substitute a mare only with GDA's approval. 6. The mare must be halter broke and the breeding farm advised to any problems, dangerous habits or special care needed when the mare is delivered. 7. The mare owner must administer the necessary Rhino Pneumonitis vaccines at the fifth, seventh and ninth months of pregnancy. Failure to do so will result In the nullification of the live foal guarantee. 8. GDA will make every diligent and rare owner agrees to pay for board, vet, farrier and other associated expenses monthly. No mare and/or her foal will be allowed to leave the breeding farm without all bills being paid in full. GDA is guaranteed a security interest in the mare and/or foal against the debt incurred by the mare owner. GDA requires 24 hours notice prior to having a mare picked up to prepare a final statement. 14. This contract is not transferable in part or whole without the expressed written consent of GDA. 15. GDA will issue a breeder's certificate when notified of the birth of the foal resulting from this breeding, providing that the mare owner has no outstanding debt to GDA. In the event of a debt the breeder's certificate will only be issued when that debt has been paid in full. 16. The mare must remain at GDA for at least 18 days to determine pregnancy status, or to rebreed the mare should she return to heat. 17. If a mare is sent home and then is found to be open in the same season, GDA, at it s own discretion, may take the mare back onto the farm to rebreed, but will assess a chute fee of $200.00 every time the mare is returned to the farm per season. 18. In the case of shipped semen, mare owner is billed $250 per shipment which includes disposable container, semen dose(s) and shipping. This charge is incurred per shipment with the first shipment being included in the breeding fee. 19. GDA will ship up to 3 shipments per mare per season. 20. Prior to shipping semen, GDA requires that payment be complete and that a copy of the mares papers be in the office as well as a satisfactory courier serviceable address be on file.
