Work

Since finding myself a victim of the 2001 recession (okay, it was slightly more complicated than that, but that's the short version) I've been working as a freelance proofreader and copyeditor. Mostly it's been the same sort of thing as I worked on when I was worked as an editor, general trade fiction and non-fiction books of various sorts. Nothing very exciting, but the work has been fairly steady.

One of the fundamental rules of freelancing, is that one is basically always looking for work. I certainly am. I can handle a fairly wide variety of material and am pretty adaptable. I don't do electronic copyediting, or at least not yet. I suspect that will have to change soon. I work accurately and can generally turn jobs around in a short time frame. My rates are reasonable. If you need a proofreader or copyeditor for a book or manuscript, contact me for further information.
