Miniature horses, Katahdin sheep, a working Border Collie, Jack
Russell Terriers, German Shepherd Dog, wildlife and two retired Ph.D.s make Glenmore Farms their home. Glenmore
Farms are located in the mountains of beautiful Northeast Tennessee near the town of Rogersville.
Francis Rabalais is a Ph.D parasitologist and worked as a professor at
Bowling Green State University for 26 years. Carol Rabalais is a registered nurse and has a Ph.D in biological science and
worked as a nurse, educator and nurse administrator for 18 years. We retired to our farm in East Tennessee in 1994.
We have extensive experience raising and training a variety of animals.
Before retiring, we raised and showed Labrador Retrievers for a number of years. Our successes included: finishing
32 Champions, owning the Number one Lab in the USA, owning and breeding multiple dogs in the Top 10 Labradors and owning the
sire of the Number 1 Lab in the USA for two consecutive years. We trained all breeds of dogs for field work, shows and obedience.
We also had much experience with alternative livestock including: dama wallabies, wolves, ratites, 30 species of parrots and
finches, a variety of reptiles, ferrets, chinchillas, waterfowl (duck, geese and swans), fowl (both wild and domestic), exotic
sheep and goats.
Since our retirement, we devote most of our time to maintaining our miniature
horses, sheep and playing with our Jack Russell Terriers, Chase and Ben.
