These dogs are all related, Leica and Jazz are daughters of Tessie, Klipper, Monica and Maggie are littermates, Kelly and Target are uncles of Maggie, Klipper and Monica. Dillon is a son of Maggie. All but Tessie descend from Ch Pogo and all descend from Ch Jeannie (Nevermore Harlow)
OUR DOGS
Our canine interests are primarily Standard Poodles. We have had Standard Poodles since 1978. At this time we are concentrating on field training and preparing Poodles for hunt tests and (in anticipation of having Poodles admitted to AKC field trials in the future) field trials as well as hunting companions. We have a field bred black Labrador Retriever bitch who we are currently running in Open and Amateur field trials and we qualified her for the Master National in 2004. Because of the terrible problem with shedding this Lab will be our last non-poodle breed. We love to have our dogs in the house most of the time, but with a constant blizzard of stiff black hairs falling off of the Labs they must be relegated to the kennel. Many of our dogs have earned AKC bench Championships as well as obedience titles, tracking titles, agility titles, hunt test titles and several have been therapy dogs. Our emphasis is upon producing dogs with excellent health, stable temperaments and bodies and minds which can excel in performance activities. We have puppies only occassionally and do not breed to populate the world with Poodles but because we wish to have a dog with a particular set of genes and aptitudes for our own training.
Our current dogs include: (All of our dogs are tested clear for known genetic diseases. They have all recently completed another round of eye exams and CERF certifications. The Poodles are all vWD clear, and all of the dogs that we own are OFA and thyroid normal. Another round of SA biopsies will be done in 2008 on the Poodles, at this time they are all clear.)
Ch Tessie CDX, OA, NAJ, WCX, JH, VCX, herding instinct passed ( 5/19/1992-5/29/2007) I lost Tessie at 15+ years of age the end of May, 2007 to a stroke. It nearly killed me to lose this wonderful girl as she had been my nearly constant companion for each of those 15 years. I knew that she was very dependent on me but I had no idea how very dependent I was on her!

Ruby (black Lab) QAA, MH and Qual for Master National 2004, FT pointed, several Amateur JAMs (DOB 1/12/2000) Ruby is now co-owned by David Hooks who has been handling her while I work on getting some of my own health issues under control.
Manda- bitch in field training currently (DOB 7/6/03) She will be the mother of the next litter.
