Developer Incogen on Thursday announced the release of version 3.0 of Visual Integrated Bioinformatics Environment (VIBE), a server-client development environment for analyzing workflow management that integrates with such platforms as Sun Microsystems' Grid Engine and the TimeLogic DeCypher accelerator platform. This upgrade adds Mac OS X support on the server and client sides and features video-based tutorials, simplified set-up and configuration, the ability to bookmark analysis strategies, an integrated Launchpad for accessing applications and URLs and more. permalink: comments: feedURL:http://maccentral.macworld.com/mnn.cgi While I have not personally used this software, having new cross-platform compatible bioinformatics software is good news. |
