U.S.: $200,000 total cost ($50,000 deposit required) for heart operation. India: $10,000 total bill, including hospital, air fare, and a side trip to the Taj Mahal. Frankly, I suspect that for uncomplicated procedures, it probably does not matter that much. However, for anything that is out of the ordinary, I would rather stay here.
