"In those days there was no king in Israel; every man did what was right in his own eyes." Judges 17:6 NAS
What is right and what is truth can only be found in God's holy word. The Bible records this peace of history and it is an exact representation of how the world lives today. So how are we living amidst this time when people do what is right in their own eyes?
The world has no true king because there is only one true King and His name is Jesus. We know Him and have the real truth and by His truth we have been set free, free in deed (John 8:36). We carry the truth of what is right in our heart wherever we go.
The world is in bad shape and in desperate need of the blessed return of our Savior. So meanwhile, while we wait for Him to come back and take us home to be with Him in heaven forever, what are we supposed to do as we watch every man do what was right in his own eyes.
We are to walk in the truth in a truth less time. We are to shine the light of Christ in a very dark period of history. We are to proclaim what is truly right in the sight of God before men. But most of all we are love the people around us to the truth of God's love.
So how is your light shining God's love today? How bright is that lamp of love in your family, where you work and among your friends? Are you walking by and exhibiting the fruits of the Spirit in your daily routines.
Sometimes doing what is right in the sight of God may cost you a relationship, cause the loss of business and even make you an outcast among those you work with. It may even leave you asking the question, "Have I therefore become your enemy by telling you the truth (Gal 4:16 NAS)?"
It doesn't matter where we are in the world. Sin is the same in its deceptive and destructive abilities to take over and infect the lives of every person under its control. Sin’s lie says, “My way is right.”
If you have watched the News you have seen that immorality, homosexuality and any other evil is being done and it is done as right in their own eyes.
We need to be in prayer for our nations, our unsaved families and neighbors and those we work around. We cannot expect anything more from them than what they know because they are blind to what is right in the eyes of God.
So love them and pray that they come to know the Way of what is truly right. Then they will have a King and desire to do what is right in His eyes and not their own. Have a blessed week in His love.
In His Love,
Adam
It is my prayer that you would be encouraged in your day-to-day walk and that you would be in the word everyday.
