A committed heart is a heart that steps out in faith and outside of its comfort zone. When we step out, God steps in to support us and it starts with a mustard seed faith and a commitment to follow His will. Here is something to think about in regards to be being FULLY committed to Him. We will look at FULLY as an acronym of sorts.

The ‘F’ stands for Focused. A committed heart has a faithful focus on eternal things. It is a heart that is fix tuned to the will of God and with His glory in mind. The letter ‘U’ stands for Unwavering. Our commitment to the Lord is unwavering, sold out and securely built on the rock solid foundation of Jesus Christ. The first ‘L’ stands for Loved. We are committed because we know we are loved with an everlasting love.

In 1 John 4:10 it says, “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” Remember that John 3:16 says, “For God so Loved the world…” We also know that because of the propitiation of His Son God loves us no matter what. He knows our frame inside and out and “…He chose us in Him (Jesus) before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4).”

The second ‘L’ has a similar yet opposite meaning. It stands for Loving. Being FULLY committed to Him means we are committed to loving as Christ loves because His love indwells and compels us. In fact this is how the world will know us. They will see our love for one another. We see this in John 13:34-35 where it says, "A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. "By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."

Finally comes the last letter, the letter ‘Y’. A fully committed heart is a Yielded heart. We are fully committed by being completely yielded to His will -His sending and using us whenever and wherever we are. When we are fully yielded to Him and completely His we can be certain of one thing: He will strongly support us.

It is His work and we are so privileged to be apart of seeing lives changed for Christ. When we are following His will; His will, will always be done -always! Tell someone the good news of Jesus Christ. Go therefore and make disciples today.
