"Declare My praise" Part II
07/05/2003

"The people whom I formed for Myself, Will declare My praise." Isaiah 43:21 NAS

We were formed for His good pleasure, redeemed by His kind intention and are here to declare His praise. Since we have been formed, chosen and bought by the precious priceless blood of His cross, one of our heart filled desires is to declare His praise. To know this we must understand how precious the moments truly are when we choose to spend time at the feet of Jesus.

We were such a priority to the Father that He formed us and chose us by choosing His Son to meet the punishment we deserved for sin. We were formed, fell then freed for fellowship forever for the Father. What are you choosing then in your daily busy grind? Are you choosing to keep Christ at the center of your life, worship and praise? Are you seeking ways to declare His praise? The first place to start to is to choose the good part. Remember the two sisters Martha and Mary who Christ had visited in Martha's home.

One was caught up in the busyness of preparations and the other was caught at the feet of Jesus. Jesus had said to Martha, "...Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; but only a few things are necessary, really only one, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her (Luke 10:41-42 NAS). " To declare His praise we must begin by choosing the good part, the one thing necessary and that is to simply come to His feet.

We were formed to declare His praise and it starts within our hearts. If you were to evaluate your life right now in regard to busyness and everything you do on a daily basis would you be a Martha or would you be a Mary? Are you choosing the one thing that is necessary, the good part of giving praise to the Lord? Are you devoting and prioritizing your time to sit in front of Jesus daily? Declaring His praise is not something that is only done on Sunday's. It is an everyday love affair with the Father through His Son.

It's an all day passion we get from being filled with the Holy Spirit. King David knew this passion well. In Psalm 71:8 he wrote, "My mouth is filled with Thy praise, And with Thy glory all day long (NAS)." Psalm 119:164 says, "Seven times a day I praise Thee, Because of Thy righteous ordinances." David was a man of praise. He declared praise from His heart to the Lord because He knew he was formed for this very reason. The last verse of course is not given to us as a guide to how many times a day it is necessary to praise the Lord.

On the contrary, rather it is to point our hearts to declare His praise simply because it is the good part and He is worthy of it. In Isaiah 12:5 it says, "Praise the LORD in song, for He has done excellent things; Let this be known throughout the earth (NAS)." We declare His praise to Him and to the world because He deserves nothing less. It is something we want to do with all our heart. "Praise the LORD! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart (Ps 111:1 NAS)."

It is the passion He has instilled into us for Himself. Today and everyday seek the good part. Choose what Mary chose to simply be at His feet. Declare His praise with all your heart because He deserves nothing less. You were formed to declare His praise. Praise the Lord!

To Him and For Him,
Adam

It is my prayer that you would be encouraged in your day-to-day walk and that you would be in the word everyday.
