The Clinton Courier serves a targeted market of well-educated, upper income readers in a small college community.
As a paid subscription weekly community newspaper reaching more than 5,000 readers each week, the newspaper's goal is to give our readers information they can use and are interested in by covering Kirkland Town Board meetings, Clinton Village Trustee meetings, Clinton Central School Board of Education meetings and most of the other local boards that help govern our community.
The Courier also reports about the businesses in the Town of Kirkland and those that are owned by residents of the town, there are regular reports on activities at the schools, academic, sports and extra-curricular, and news briefs about current and former residents.
Special sections are run periodically in the newspaper to provide in-depth information to our readers along with the advertising of businesses that can provide them with the services they will need, e.g. monthly Health and Financial news, Spring gardening, Home Improvement, Get To Know Us, SummerFun, Bridal, Parenting, Holiday Gift Guides and more.
A recent Reader’s Survey told us that 76% of our readers have an annual household income of more than $40,000; 91% own their own home; 70% of those homes are valued at more than $100,000. They are predominantly in the 36–55 age bracket and 92% of them are college graduates.
