"Like
cottage gardening itself, we are very informal"
UPDATE: After a hiatus during
a long drought, we will begin meeting again in Plum Creek now that we finally have a local meeting site. The schedule
and program will be determined shortly. Email if you have suggestions. All are welcome.
Do you share our interest in
antique roses, cottage gardens, and other charming heirloom favorites? Are
you fascinated at the prospect of growing living history from a $2 packet of seed?
Join
us to further explore interesting topics, host guest speakers, take field trips, and share gardening tips along
with cuttings, seeds and plant divisions. We are located in Zone 8b in the central Texas town of Kyle, just a little
south of Austin.
Like
cottage gardening itself, we are very informal. And we love our planet, hoping to make it just a little more beautiful
for having been here, so we prefer organic methods and teach water conservation and the cultivation of native and well-adapted plants.
Strongly education-oriented, we welcome all levels of garden experience. Beginners
and mentors are equally beloved.
There have been no dues
or fees, but donations are appreciated to offset the building rental deposit and to help underwrite materials and
handouts for our all-volunteer garden club. We open the meeting to
a garden question & sharing forum the last 30 minutes.
