Skinny
Puppy: Morphous
(a.k.a Morphedus, Morpheous) Lyrics:
All so pure
Hard to see
Layers crack the surface
Remains his carcass burning
Maggots bloated floating by
Divine the intern mantra
Picture crams disinformation
Less than sudden hammer
Smashes through the skull
A twin faced two faced fantasy
Revolving walls of misery
A twin faced two faced fantasy
Walls revolving misery
Sane face drain the killing spree
Digging deep inspires me
Left out shell broken down
Feed off negativity
I hear the wall
Garden matter
Hunted vision in the place of hate
So did she
And mother mutters
Melted minds and a worth of change
You've got a broke down evil entity
A broke down evil entity
You're staring at yourself
You're staring at yourself
I'm kicking down the walls
For all is naught
She is devouring morphology
Devouring morphology
A tested ??? fantasy
You're looking vile
A set in stone
Set in stone
You're on your own
You're on your own
A set in stone
Stoner trashes
Everything that he believes
Could it be that
He's affected
Drug induced hostility
Lose respect gain momentum
A twin faced two faced fantasy
Its walls revolving
A twin faced two faced fantasy
Lose respect gain momentum

Appeared On:
- Skinny Puppy: Back and Forth vol. 7 in an early
demo form as "Morphous (demo version)
- V/a: We Came to Dance Vol. X in an incompletely
mixed form as "Morphedus" [sic]
- Skinny Puppy: Back and Forth
Six in new edit compiled from 1994 mixes as
"Morphous (v2)" (5:12)
Total Versions: 3
Notes:
- Originally released on the above listed
compilation in a rough, unfinished form without
cEvin Key's consent or knowledge and mistitled
"Morphedus". cEvin wrote in email that
the spelling was wrong and was intended to be
"Morpheous". However, the release of
Back and Forth Six offers the canonical spelling
of "Morphous".
- cEvin has mentioned that this track was at one
point intended as the B-side to a single for Candle.
- Despite the similarity in titles, this track
bares no direction relationship to Morpheus Laughing,
from Too Dark Park.
- Recorded multiple times, the Back
and Forth Six version being from1994.
- The lyrics in italics appeared only in the We
Came to Dance Vol. X mix.
- At 4:44 in the Back and
Forth Six version, the lyric fragment
"the outer face" from Morter appears backwards
masked.
