K-9

Lyrics:

"I've got no fucking monitor"
"I've got no fucking monitor"

all your fucking monitors

Seeing through the keyhole
Watching master beating her
Creep he hits her
Faced with death
[Ratting?] you
Great to be a canine closer to [unasured?]
[Watch?] your rich perversions
Wouldn't you think I have no thought
Wouldn't you think I have no thought

It's a strange decision when the foe bears the control
When with [them?/pain?] I sit in dung crying through a purr-snore
When I've got the hunger I rest [in peace?] so he'll be there
With the last attatchment food withdrawal I cannot bear
Simple calculation now the steps are [false rich?]
Shot claw
Vision recked
K-9

<?voices in backgrnd>

It's not fit to piss in
Why not move so I won't stay
Kick me out in out
[Toss?/Force?] my effects [inside the ???/in solitairy?/in solidarity?]
Worry [understand?/understatement?]
Open your eyes thanks for a kick
Feign emotion don't turn around

Appeared On:

Total Versions: 2? 3? (BF1 and BF2 versions differ slightly and Undergrowth may be another version)

Live Performances:
Unovis '84
other early pre-Bites shows?

Notes:

  • The version which appears on the Back and Forth series 2 CD is a slightly longer version than that on the original cassette, which did not include the opening "sample/response".

  • In some respects 'the first Skinny Puppy song' as it was the first fully realized collaboration between cEvin and Ogre and provided the early concept for the band as life seen through the eyes of a dog. It was not, however, their first ever collaboration as is often claimed.
  • The Undergrowth version has been claimed to be an alternate version featuring Bob Sled (Ed Shaw) on Fairlight. I was given a copy of what purported to be the Undergrowth version and to my ears it was the same as the BF1 version.
